Always at work, I would look forward to getting to know out guests. So much so, that we would call them by their first or last names. Always welcoming them back. And, always, with a smile!

Ive had alot of unhappy clients because we got pushed back on time because of the rain and it was real wet and muddy. But i agreed with the client and i said yes sir you are tottaly right but im watching for my employees safety and making sure the work gets done right but safe at the same time because the key to a good work site and good success is the way to safety...

Ever have that one customer who comes into your store and as you ask them how their day was, only to be met with a story of a sick/injured family member? I know my natural reaction is to provide GENIUNE support to my clients as I'm checking them out through my lines. This time was apparently a bit different as the customers behind her noticed something as I was providing my own form of support to her. Apparently they were quite upset with the fact that she rolled her eyes at me as I did so, which surprised me somewhat, but I considered myself lucky to have missed it as I try to not get myself wound up in confrontations as such. On the other hand, it did give me some pride as it reassured me that I did my job not only as a cashier, but as a human being, and my customers could see that well. Afterwards, I proceeded to reassure them that it would be okay and told them it wasn't fair to get so upset over a rude customer since it would take too much energy they didn't deserve to waste on someone like that. My point is, you'll know you're doing your job right when you have little instances like this that really go to show you your own worth, provided you have a positive attitude while working. Anybody else who has had similar positive experiences they would like to share? :)
