I explained the issue and asked for the answer they wanted, then further explained why we couldnt do that because of our rules and regulations.

I could use my Military Service toward my retirement. As it was, I loved working there at the Defense Logistics Agency. I was treated well and trusted to work from home; I can't say that I was trusted as much throughout my career as a Technical Writer-Editor.

My advice to people interested in working at Department of Defense is to have an eye for detail and to remain professional at all times.

The biggest mistake I made as an Accounting Technician at the Department of Defense was...I truly cannot think of any?

The most stressful day for me at the Department of Defense would probably be getting one or two bills paid, yet it took much longer to do that anticipated. So even though those one or two customers were paid, I felt stressed because of the time it took to close the case.

The last time a co-worker or customer at the Department of Defense got angry with me, I simply treated them with kindness and good work ethic. By seeing past their anger and keeping my professional work ethic, I was able to get the job done, with minimal static; if you will.

What I loved most about working at the Department of Defense was to be able to move from department to department and implementing in the reduction of case (customer) backlogs and giving the people the customer service they deserve and need most; the processing of their backlogged payments.
