I love working retail. I was with this company going on 6 years. after my first week I was given keys and I was a part of management until I left. The reason why I left was because I was repeatedly lied to about being a store manager. I was good enough to go into broken stores and fix them but not good enough to have my own? Then the last store I worked for I worked for a manager that never closes, never on the 7 day work flow and ALWAYS put herself on register. Going into this location some sets were 2 years old if not 4 years old. I requested a transfer twice and my DM would just tell me we will revisit this. I became exhausted and just couldn't continue to do everything alone. Running a Dollar General is a team effort. Its sad really I have contacted HR and have not received a response about me being reinstated. I feel it was not right that my request was ignored by my DM for a transfer and I became just so run down and could not stay at this particular location.
Dear, Friends: I started this new job Love the job a Plus,but some of the hours and labor and cheap payment as well as the employees Suck. Some people at this job want to be the actual boss lady herself with no actual work experience or hiring or firing power. One of the bosses let her position go straight to her head, and one of them is young, ignorant,and above All very childish checking the work schedule to see if I have more hours than her come on if you don't know your job," Don't" try to make feel inferior to you because I know my job and I just started says alot about you if you have been their for a while and you still stuck in stock!! Read between the lines,Brilliant!!Too Competitive over a Dollar General job. Says Alots Right!! Right!! Boss okay need a True dip in Reality and need a Major Attitude Adjustment!! For Real!!What would you guys do Stay or leave? That's the question at hand!! P. S. Almost saw two fights at the job among the customers!! Really!!!

Meeting new people, different tasks and stayed busy.
I applied to dollar general got an interview and now I'm waiting for the background check to come back to start. It taking longer then usual for the results to come back according to the store. It been over a week now. Is anybody me else having this problem? Is this wasting my time and so on?
