Find a hotel that has a union in place that will back up the employees. The Fairmont is not worth the amount of work that is expected of you. The work environment is anything but pleasant and supportive, they pride themselves on the standards they have in place but they are double standards. The corporation has become so thirsty and greedy . They run a super tight ships which leaves you with NO support and broken down equipment that is necessary in order to function. Management lacks responsibility they leave you to deal with issues only management should be dealing with. I would not recommend, money isn’t everything

The only negative drama I had was from my own supervisors. The fairmont kea Lani is a big corporation but there is no union in place which has its pros but I think it works against the hourly employees because there is nothing in place to protect the workers. Management I’m the hotel is the worst. Non supportive, no appreciation, there is a lot of favoritism, seniority holds no ground as far as scheduling and the department head is extreme hostile. I would NOT recommend working there

My co-workers were awesome benefits are good.
