Administrative Assistant at Self-Employed

Send a thank you email and you can mention you are very interested in the position. If they are interested, they will call you. Otherwise, keep applying.

Has anyone heard of this company? Apparently they are a company who has clients where you are paired with someone looking for a temporary virtual assistant. My resume was accepted earlier this year. I had to wait three months for an interview. Close to the three month mark I received an email thanking me for my application but they have decided to reject my application and then promptly cancelled my zoom interview. No further explanation. I’ve tried doing research on this company and didn’t find any information relating to reputation, clients, etc. I would rate this company a zero. Their site looks like a bunch of made up people with faux titles and embellished profiles to make it seem like they have a legitimate profiles of clientele. Don’t bother applying to this company. #advice #interview #jobsearch #followup

I simply have to say,I went to the job fair earlier this week, dressed right down to a jacket and tie(probably 1 of 5 people out of 140,I counted, not in a t shirt),and I was there early, and waited 3 hours, and watched your very helpful, and friendly associate s running around, sweating in a nice hotel, with NO AIR CONDITIONING,on a heat advisory day,and I'm getting emails, wonder wants to speak with me,even though I had to leave, because I had to leave for a 2 PM interview, seeing how there emplyees were treated, best of luck to those that got hired. The interview I went to,saw me at appointed time, with courtesy, a d a cold bottle of Poland springs.I think this sais it all,Sincerely, Jeff Hemmerlin #followup

I applied to a job through indeed, which took me to their website. I completed the first part of the application, which sent my contact information to them. I received an email shortly afterwards saying to complete my profile, but the link was broken. I decided I would revisit it in a few days when I had a chance to go a deeper dive on my PC (rather than my phone). In the meantime, they called me about the job and got me through the preliminary process. I mentioned that the link was expired but she told me not to worry and that they had my contact info. Well I was on my PC and decided to try to figure out how to get into my profile, and I was successful. I figured, since I'm here I might as well fill out the rest of the missing information in case they do communication through this portal. The moment I completed everything it said that it sent the application!! By finishing the information it formally submitted the application a second time. I am MORTIFIED! Any advice on how to smoothly recover from this and explain to them that I am not dumb, I just wanted to be thorough? #advice #application #followup

You know, what you've described happens ALL THE TIME on that site. Its technology is cheap and antiquated. It's known as a piece of crap throughout the industry.

I wouldn't worry too much. If you had a telephone contact from the potential employer you will most likely be put through the next phase of the interview process. Now don't be shocked if yu get a "your qualification did not match or we've selected another candidate email" since most are automated. Good luck to you.

I see a lot of posts asking how long should they wait before they hear back from XYZ company after an interview? My interviewers have always been forth coming about the timeline of when they would fill the role. However, if they didn't bring it up, I would always ask what is the timeline for filling this position. Will they contact me regardless of the outcome? Do you ask this also? #jobsearch #advice #interview #followup

Of Course! Most companies have automated replies indicating you were not selected for the role or driver's seat. Don't quit......

Reena You saw my comment which was similar to yours & because my typing is sub par at times, many accused me of screaming or being arrogant commanding and demanding. I did not think I was any of the latter. I would recommend 30 days but If they don't follow up in 2 weeks move on. Now yes the bird in hand is better than two in the bush. But like my situation that many think I am being argumentative and disrespectful. There was a time line. So 3 words GO FOR IT! The worst thing that can happen They SAID NO and meant it. Others will stereotype you and possibly insult you. On the other hand they could say Come on down or we are flexible our optimal is AAA-> CCC
SCORE! Or if you look at my similar post a civil debate of point counter point dialogs and process on going POWER ON REENA B. ~GG

Thank you! Did you send a thank you email/note after your interview? Why do it? Because:
👍 It shows common courtsey and respect to your interviewer 👍 You can reiteriate and or clarify points you have already made at the interview. 👍 So few job applicants send a thank-you note after an interview that you automatically stand out if you do
