The freelance economy means that companies are laying off full-time, often older, workers and replacing them with part-timers, temp help, and freelance workers. Here's how to find jobs in the freelance economy.

Apparently, you cannot jump into a freelance recruiting position thinking it will be easy. Just sign candidates up & get paid. No! Do the homework before throwing yourself out there. I've got plenty of jobs that need filling, but finding the right candidates, emailing/phone calls, & entering their data into the job profile; is not an easy thing to do. Do your homework. I'm not quitting, but I need to find another way of helping people find jobs that doesn't invade their privacy. Failure leads to SUCCESS!!

Just wanted to post something that I have come across, I have found a site that gives a list of writing jobs. https://www.writersincharge.com/blog/, you can get paid to write articles for different companies. This is a great way to earn money in my opinion. I am currently working on submitting my articles for some of these sites now, I will update my information once they are submitted.

I'm a freelance fashion Illustrator and have been looking for a job in this field, but majority of the job sites require me to bid on projects , is in another country, or I don't meet all the requirements.I'm in constant competition with fashion Designers and Graphic Designers that has my skills and more experience based on their majors. What should I do?

Hi guys! I’m a 40 years old guy, With 16 years of advertising agency experience, as a Creative Director, Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer... Now a freelance designer, Too old (Many ad agencies have told me this). Or over qualifited, So, It's so hard to find a job now, even when i have a great experience or knowledge.
My last job in an ad agency it was very scary, As an Art Director, a requisit of my job, It was to park my car far from the agency to stay longer and to stay focus... With out the idea of going home at the end of the day, or at any time. If i wanted to make a phone call, I needed to ride a bike and talk in front of all, if not, I was becuase i was hiding something... (literal words from my ex-boss) And many etc.
So, i decided to run as a freelance, Is not an easy way, but at the end of the day, I'm relax, money can be worse or better, but sometimes is the best option. Don't take freelancers as bad and rebel elements, the majority are very good and professional workers! Take it as an option!

You all are educated if you don't get job then extract work from govt projects believe me lot of money can be made nobody gives youwork create your own work people hiring managers will start running after you

I have been working as waitress for the last two years, but I really would like to find some opportunity to develop myself in the communication field as a journalist, public relations, marketing, publicity or some related job in this field. I have a bachelor degree . I really don't mind if I start doing an internship or freelance job. Thank you everyone for taking me in account.

Great article from Fast Company on the Gig Economy...
"The gig economy has been on the rise for several years, and many reports point to a continued trend in American workers taking on both side gigs and cobbling together a living from a hodgepodge of short-term work or longer-term contracted jobs.
Findings from Adobe revealed that as many as one-third of the 1,000 U.S. office workers they polled had a second job and more than half (56%) predicted we would all have multiple jobs in the future. The annual report from Upwork and the Freelancers Union found that more people than ever are choosing to freelance, up to 55 million this year, or 35% of the total U.S. workforce. As many as 81% of traditional workers they surveyed said they would "be willing to do additional work outside of [their] primary job if it was available and enabled [them] to make more money."
