I'm telling you the truth...
One major problem many people overlook at the blink of an eye! What is it?
HOUGHT: They forget to update their online resumes in multiple systems across the industry. Most likely, they maintain an update hardcopy on-hand, while the online copies are slightly outdated, or perhaps, has not been reviewed in most recent times.
TAKEAWAYS: Ensure your online resume is updated in the systems. This can be factor in being selected for future assignments.
I Believe You Can...!

Hi, I looked at my uploaded resume and it says private so, what I'm wondering is can employers see my Resume if they are looking to hire?

Recently my mom was diagnosed with A.D i missed a few days of work informed my assistant manager at the time manager wasnt available. Came back to work a few days later and i was terminated for no call no show? Well if i let them know i had a family emergency a few days prior doesnt that give a clue in there heads well maybe hes still dealing with his family issues. Honestly i didnt need to let them know about my mothers conditions because that is personal but they showed no sympathy towards my situation i explained to the manger and he was like there was nothing they can do.. Since i was part time i wasnt protected under any laws.. This put a big dent in my work history so what should i do? Should i contact HR ?

Haven't worked in over 17years .How do I get myself back in the job market and not raise alarm

My last job was officially in 2011. My mother and father needed help with a caregiver. So for 6 years, other than an insurance class here and there. I have a huge gap on my resume. I was hired in 2017 for office work but turned out the pool business and selling new pool renovations wasn't my thing to say the least.
My resume has still managed to get me requests for Assesment tests, which sadly I just past at average scores. There are plenty of qualified, younger candidates that on paper are getting hired.
Is there anything I can do to open up some doors? I have over 20 years experience in Office Administrator skills. I am also 53 years old.

I applied to several jobs and have interviews. I have been turn down because I have too much retail background.I have two degrees and still get turned down. I was told at one interview that going back to college to finish my degree was considered a gap in employment.

So, a couple of years ago I left working a huge hospital as a phlebotomist because they overload you with work and don't compensate you fairly. Plus, I ended up with an ankle injury from all the walking. It sounds crazy but apparently it is very possible. Anyway, I went to a group home for IDD adults. I kept thinking all the while I was nuts for the change and taking the pay cut. However, it turns out that I really liked what I did there. I felt like, at the end of the day, I had made a difference. I absolutely loved it even though it was tiring and taxing. I had a wonderful supervisor and a half way decent crew to work with, let's face it there are weeds everywhere. Well, about a year ago, that fabulous supervisor passed away at a very young age from a heart attack. The management team was restructured and this job I loved turned into hell. The new head honcho was terribly rude, pushy and treated the staff like crap. I didn't want to leave because I absolutely loved the clients, however, I was miserable every second of every day. Then in November my life took a huge turn for the better or worse, I'm not sure I've decided just yet. I injured my knee and ended up needing surgery. The doc put me out on light duty, which my job stopped offering. After 3 weeks of being out they let me go. I would like to say that I'm not bitter about it but that would be a complete lie. I worked hard and put my heart and soul into this place. Well, now that I've had surgery, I am going to have to take some type of job where I'm not as physical until my knee heals up, if it ever does. I'm really not sure how to feel about it. I've never had a job where I had to sit all day. I don't even sit around at home. This should be interesting. I have an interview on tues and I'm really hoping it goes well, because I am a single mother and have now been out of work almost 6 months. Definitely not easy. I'm both nervous and excited for a fresh start. I guess the most important part is taking that 1st step......

I am a seasoned professional technician that has worked in electronics, specifically the medical electronic repair field for almost 30 years. Since 2004 I have suffered a couple significant medical setbacks and in 2012 was the beginning my process of firing and short-lived stints. Since then, I've been let go from four more jobs and moved to three different states. Each of these jobs had at least three or more months before the next one began. Plus, I have broadened my career into the management realm to show my capabilities and marketability. I'm currently flooding the market in a new location, across the country from where I currently live, closer to my family and in exact same field. However, of the 30-40 resumes I've sent, I've only been successful at three actual phone interviews. Any suggestions on fine-tuning these jumps or the gaps caused between each short-lived position?

Hello there, I've posted before but I'm still new to the website format and realized my way of communicating my issue was not going to reach anyone. I wanted advice from those that have been in the work force longer than I have. I have been working for close to 3 years now and am on my second job as a food service worker at a hospital. I love my job but my supervisor and managers alike have been hassling me to leave because of poor attendance (due to medical issues that have been resolved). I am now in the market for a new place of work, hopefully long term that pays decently in my area but I am unsure of how to go about it. I have put in tons of applications and haven't heard a word from any company that I applied for. Am I doing something wrong? Any pointers? Please help!
