So basically, I’m a useless lump of crap who just got let go after a mere two months on the job. After YEARS of trying to switch my career and land a position doing what I wanted to do for so long (writing), I was hired at the end of September for a digital/print content writing position that involved a 90-day probationary period.

Fast forward to today, and I was pulled into a conference room with my manager and an HR rep and told that I “wasn’t a good fit” and unceremoniously let go. Now I have to go home and tell my wife that she will be the sole source of income to support our daughter because her husband is a worthless loser who couldn’t even hack it for two months at a new job.

I’m writing this post because I’m here to caution anyone considering a career change - DON’T DO IT! Stick to what you know. Leaving your comfort zone is only going to lead to trouble. Now we’re down to one income in the middle of a pandemic because I thought I was something I’m not.

Lastly, anybody here know someone who might be looking for a guy to dig holes or ditches or something? Because that’s likely all I’m going to be good for after a blemish like this.
