Prior to December 2019 all Quality Refrigerated Transport drivers were using free AOBRD applications uploaded on their personal smartphones. As of December 16, 2019, all motor carriers and drivers were subject to the ELD Mandate rule and were required to use an ELD to record and transfer Hours of Service data. In Quality Refrigerated Transport AOBRD to ELD transition was a strange process: the company did not provide drivers with the ELD devices, instead all drivers were just to update for a new version APP on their personal smartphones. Not for everyone it was a successful transition to ELD. In particular, when I was stopped at the DOT Scales in the State of Utah for regular Level 1 Inspection the officer discovered my APP was still AOBRD, not ELD and put me 10-h out of service. I was carrying a load and had a scheduled delivery appointment which I missed because of this detention. As a result I paid out of my pocked for the late arrival.
This is ridiculous. I always have my finger prints done and I am clear as I worked for public schools. I have my finger prints done recently and I am clear. How do you send this you I even did the finger print for you. You are lying and I am outraged. That is not professional and right
