I come from a long line of veterans and to me they are ALL heroes. My grandfather and great grandfather both served and my great grandmother was a nurse and took care of injured soldiers. I have always thought she was so incredibly brave. So Happy Veteran's Day to all those that have served, we appreciate you.
Today is our day, but I feel like it should be everyday. My time serving was difficult. I was away from my wife and kids a lot like most of us and lost a lot of my close friends. Was happy to get home safe, but it sometimes feels pretty lonely. It would be nice to connect with a few other vets on here. I hope you are with your families today. If you see a veteran make sure to thank them for their service.
