I was a cook in a memory assist living facility for a year and 4 months. When I first started it was great, so I thought then I realized that was their lure to get you in. I had been told by several people it wasn't a good place to work I didn't listen I needed a job. I was bullied, illegally suspended, and treated badly. Everyone and anyone who ever got suspended automatically was terminated from there. Everyone knew that when someone was suspended they were gone, so to everyone's surprise to see me after mine left a few people of management a little pissed. When I came back I was working in a hostile environment and was being bullied by my supervisor, I turned her in too the Executive director but they we're close friends , I had repeatly made complains of the mistreatment and nothing was ever done. I found a note in the garbage at work that my supervisor wrote about me saying she talked to the Ed before I came back from my suspension and she told her to hold me to the letter don't let nothing slide stay on her and ride her hard...( No jokes here) After that I had been screamed at in front of several co-workers, I had been spit on, harrassed and bullied. My sister was in ICU not knowing if she would pull through ask to take EmMA to take care of her and was denied. I was told to much paper work . A month later I was terminated for a piece of hair in my supervisors pizza I had made. I apologize to her and I meant this can happen when you don't wear hair nets. My hair is over 36 inches long, the hair she had in her hand was only 6-8 inches, I've been a. Cook for 25 years, it bothered me but come on things like that happened. I came back from weekend and I was suspended again didn't hear from anyone all week Friday came along and I was messaged to come see new ED, no reason nothing he handed me my check and I left. I won my unemployment claim, stating I was fired but not due to job misconduct. I get a letter last week they are appealing it. I have tons of evidence against my old supervisor, the old ED lost her job because of false write ups and the lies she said and wrote on me so I know it was retaliation for the ED losing her job is why I was fired. There is so much more to this it's to much. It just saddened me to leave those residents. So many co-worker seen the hostile environment and the mistreatment and bullying but to get anyone to stand up for me is a joke they are all afraid of losing their jobs. "At Will" states are a joke. Write a letter today or asap to the better business Buehrle and another to the company about "Sexual harassment and that you have sent a letter to the Better Business Buehrle and send a copy of said letter and write another letter, just cut and copy to another piece of paper with the recipient's name on it "The State Attorney's office".

This should get your job back or maybe the start of a law suite. Don't forget they may try and call and scare you, just hang up, say nothing.

How would you handle unwelcome advances from your manager in a dream job that took 8 months to land? I’ve already hinted that I am in a serious relationship but that hasn’t stopped the flirting, personal notes, and drooling stares. I thought about going to HR but I’ve heard making those type of claims on management usually end up hurting the victim. Besides, I’m still within my 90 days so I don’t have a leg to stand on. This is so embarrassing!

I start working at this fast food place which is owned by Franchises, I've been there for 7 months now. My job supposed to be on training for G.M. cut the story short, I'm stuck closing every night, my schedule will be so ridiculously that no days or mid , while my supervisor and the other assistant manager can get the comfortable schedule, they always get off 2p.m. or 5p.m. and besides that, I will be working in every holiday including thanks giving , Christmas eve, new years eve and new year One day I talk to my supervisor I ask him why am I the only manager that work on holiday? He response, " because, you're capably of running the store with less staff "and lough. So I told him" that's not funny". He said if I don't like my schedule then he don't want me there, he can transfer me somewhere else. And walk away.

Before Christmas , I was really short handed because the day shift manager did not tell me that one of the crew called out, so I end up only having 2 staff and one of them get off at 5p.m. and one of the girls get of at 10p.m. but she stay for me so she can help me clean, I called my supervisor and told him that I can't find anybody to come to work because they're all working days, my supervisor said ok, I will call you back, and he didn't call back, so, I call my District Manager and ask him see if he can help me find closer From a different store, and he start yelling at me talking down on me saying " why can't you run the store with one closer? " he said and I explain to him that those girl she have to open the next day, so, she can't stay closing. My district manager continue yelling at me on the phone and did not help. I end up by myself after 12a.m. but she have to go, I let her go because, she's been in the store since 12 noon. When I was leaving the store, I was outside locking the door two guys jump at me and I was trying to run away screaming for help but 7eleven across the street was to far away and no one can hear me, these two big guys grab me on my face covering my mouth dragging me back in front of the door with the gun on my head to unlock the door and he kept saying , "open the door or I'll shoot you"
I was terrified but I just keep myself calm because they already got me and I don't wanna get shot. They drag me in the office, they know the safe, and know the way around the store, so, I am calm while being shove in the safe gun on my head kept saying" open the safe or I'll shoot you" they took my phone because my boyfriend on the other side (on the phone ) can hear the whole conversation, after they shut off my phone, my boyfriend start calling 911 (he told me after the incident) they said is not emergency because he is in different state. After they got all the money in the safe, They put me in the freezer trying to lock the door but, I can hear they couldn't find something to lock the door so when it gets quiet, I slowly open the door even though he said, I will shoot you if you open the door, but I really didn't believe that the robber will stand there and wait for me to come out and shoot me so, I open the door as soon as I don't hear anymore noise on the door and ran in the office and call 911 Then call my supervisor this happen around 2a.m. and then call my district manager ten times and never answer his phone. Then he finely call back with the angry voice . They both getc to the store and none of them even ask if I'm ok or dI'd you get hurt? They're more concern about the safe and both of them talking like I'm not even there, and District manager gave me attitude asking me "Did you do the incident report? " and I look at him and walk away because I was about to scream on his face. But, came back to him I said how do you think I can do report when I just got rub a munite ago? And cops are questioning me? This incident still in my head and until late now when I see someone walking toward me I feel like I wanna scream . The next day was my day off but after that I couldn't go to work for another day because I was really stressed out and made at them supervisor and district manager because how they react to me. My district manager was emailing me saying he need to know if going back to work, didn't even ask how am I doing? They want me to come back to work as soon as possible because there's no one else can close the store. I really wanna leave the store and find a job please tell me what I should do. I'm still having all the enxietty when I'm in the store with one crew and it's dark outside.

I had a complaint of harassment on a manager i worked with and corporate never responded and instead they made false accusations on me breaking in the store and i spent 45 days in jail. They closed my case and dismissed my charges but they didnt give me my job back when i got emails of them telling me if i can prove the charges was dropped i can have my job back but they didnt. Now im homeless lost everything and been stressed and depressed. That should be pain and suffering

Document everything and call the EEOC you are protected Title VII. I would not quit before going to them. It may take a little while to get in and then get a lawyer who will take your case contingent.

I have been working for a company for almost 3 years now and I need some help on who to contact and where to go. I have been dealing with harassment and now being threatened at my work place. I have made a number of complaints and I feel nothing has been done. I have a direct supervisor that has belittled me and put me down a number of times. I don't know if it is cuz he is having a bad day or what. But I don't feel that he should be taking his mood swings out on me. Now he has given me a direct threat saying if I wasn't a girl he would take me outside and beat my a**.. Well I don't take to kindly to any of this. And I am looking for a new job because I am not going to take it anymore. I need a job as me being a single mom, I have thing's I have to take care of.. Does anyone know who and where i can go to here in Las Vegas to file a report or something? I have been looking and I'm not sure if I need to go see a lawyer or labor board or what. Does anyone have any ideas or people I can go to? And does anyone know of any place that is hiring that i will be making the same as I am now @ 15 an hour. All of my bills are around that rate. I can do just about anything and I am a fast learner.

I lost my husband 4yrs ago with brain cancer it hasn't been easy on me at all.. I am trying to stay. Positive most of the time. My home base is ok, were I did work at first I wished I would of stay there, 21/2 yrs goa I didn't have as many problemsthere I was very happy and contented Now at this other job being harassed, and sexharassed, I am the only female there they pick on no elase gets picked on or told on all the time I been dealing with this for 121/2 yrs. Now. I have wrote lettlers, and went to the director office in February of this year 20017 and nothing was done about it at all, its hasn't stoped its getting worse every day I have to walk on pins and needles, and be careful I don't give or show any wrong kind of body language or looks, I don 't want to go work there any more. But i have no choice I have medical bills other bills I have to pay. And keep my self going for me. But.I can't take much more Being treated this way at all. So I am hoping and praying to God for his help me find another job. For can be myself and be able to work . I understand there will be ups a down. But not like we're I am at now. Co/ work see how heard it for me now.

I've been on the job for two months one of my assignment is to work a concession stand at the Chicago Cubs training camp even though the space is limited at the concession stand the guy who manage the stand kept on rubbing his body up against mine on purpose he also is the director of the program that I go to we are contracted to work at various agencies in the community how can I deal with this, to me it is clearly harassment
