I know it can be discouraging because I was at the end of my rope after putting out resume after resume. I was fortunate to go on interviews. I can't blame it on age because I am 69 years old. I was laid off in March and in July, 1 company took a chance on me and I enjoy my full time job in the field I was trained in. . All it takes is 1 company to say yes & doors can open up. Stay prayerful.

If your employer inquires about lapse of employment I find it better to discuss in person. I just got a great new job!

Since when does it mean when employer says I'll call you on the day you will start the job. And yet send me a email instead. Without any notice. Supposedly I was supposed to start my job today but was not aware since I hadn't received a phone call. The lady in personel told me once my back ground comes back she would call me to tell me when I would start. Well I just got the email today and I was supposed to start this morning for orientation. The email showed to have come thru yesterday but I didn't receive it till today. So I called the place and she's left for the day. So I have to wait till I'm the morning to go up to o the job and talk to her about it.makes me wander if I should take this job.

I am super, super excited!!!! I've been actively searching for a new job since the beginning of May, I've worked 2 jobs but HATED them both and honestly felt like I was going to have to settle and just work wherever and be miserable. Monday I got a call from our local hospital and went for an interview Tuesday, today they called for me to do the next steps for employment!!!!!! I also got an email from another company to set up a phone interview. The hospital job would be life changing, the money's great, the benefits are great and it's job security!!!! Wish me luck!!

I recently had a job interview at Sunrise Senior Living about a week or so ago and I ended up getting the job which is great ! Before I could start training or anything I had to send in 2 references , get drug tested and TB tested . I did all of those things when i was supposed to . I emailed my hiring manager because I had further questions about anything else I might need done to get done ; she emailed me back within a couple of minutes . I believe orientation/training started today I’m not sure but I have not heard from her since the last time I emailed her which was July 22nd. Since then I reached out and emailed her 3 other times and still have not heard back from the job . No call , no email , no nothing . I’m not sure what to do ,
