Do you think it's wise to consider an employer who has taken weeks or months to follow up with you about a position. It dawned on me this morning that most companies have a lot of waste in their hiring process and HR managers should strive to find ways of improving their processes.

It would be interesting to find out what Human Resource managers say about how they fill most of their positions. If for no other reason than to understand how to work with the hiring system and have the best chance to get hired.

I heard back from a recruiter from a local recruiting company and I was wondering why interviewees couldn’t be given a survey about the company they interview at as part of the whole hiring process? As long as individuals are told not to make derogatory or defaming comments abount the prospective company or interviewer, I think the survey could help recruiters to have feedback about each work environment and what culture works best for various personalities.

The one company I interviewed at recently had the right hours for me, but I wasn’t given the opportunity to hang my coat up and since my coat was bulky, I ended up sitting in front of the interviewer with my coat on. It was uncomfortable, but to me it seemed like a very “sterile” atmosphere. I was glad for the opportunity to interview, but I found out people ask if a person has the necessary energy to do certain jobs. Is referring to energy a way of discriminating against age or no?

I applied for a job on Craigslist. A few days later the owner of the company calls me having already made up his mind he wanted to hire me because of my military service. For an interview he had me meet him at Applebee's for dinner where we could discuss compensation, set up my schedule and I could sign the necessary paperwork. So much better than sitting at the end of that long table having somebody say "tell me a little something about yourself" while they're looking at my resume.

#sodexo # followup #hiringprocess #interviewadvice

So I am an ex employee first time member with the giant company Sodexo. I am trying to figure out the hiring process since i am fairly still new with the company from the previous job I worked for with them...

They said on August 3rd that this job at the City of Hope in Duarte, CA I applied for and had an interview with the H.R. manager and food service manager. They said they would give me a chance to be hired as long as I passed a backround check. Now this is my first rodeo with an official backround check, this company ACHECK does the investigation. So when I received feedback on the copy before it was submitted to SODEXO, I noticed I had an unwanted unknown warrent I didn't know I had.

So i went to court to handle that issue and cleared it, emailed and informed sodexo's corporate security and corrected the issue also by calling ACHECK.

I feel like this process is the longest i ever experienced. I am on the edge of my seat politely and anxiously sending out curtious concerning emails every 4-5 days showing high interest and still wondering WHAT THE HECK IS TAKING SO DAMN LONG?!?!?!

Anyways lol sorry for the long rant. Just in my head a lil too deep and could use some positive feedback, advice or opinions. Just wondering if anybody else gone through this issue and seeing if this IS normally how the process goes and what not...does it seriously take a month or more?

Ugh so frustrated and anxious lol how can someone tell you you're suitable for a job opportunity then not be up to date with keeping you informed at all? I feel like I'm bugging...but i need this job?! Omg lol so confused. Sigh

What do I have to do to get hired on at Whole Foods? I have been working at a grocery store for 8 years and a manager for 7 of them. Just wondering what the trick is. I've sent my resume, filled out close to 25 applications and emailed the store.
