
I'm in serious need of work I'm a mechanic by trade but I am a jack of all trades as well will take any job any pay that highest felons

My jobs tells me I have to transfer to another property . Do to the fact my Boss is my son mother. She has been my Boss for two years now . They knew are situation when Corporate made that decision.Should I have to take a pay cut when I transfer .When I transfer, and should I have a option to pick which job I want at the other property .I been with the company for 15 years .

I went for a job interview on Sept 10th for a Med.Asst position in a pain management office. I didnt meet the Dr (unusual)They liked me and asked me to come in at 8am for a "working interview". I did. When i arrived at 8 am I asked the office mgr how long id be there. I did a working interview before and it was 2 hours. She said "8-5" i said "oh I didnt realize that. I need to be home for my daughter" she said "no problem. Leave at 1245" so at 1245 she asks me to come in her office. She offered me the job. I said" wow this is happening so fast" she said "well when you know, you know" i said "in the intrest of full disclosure I am in the process of maybe being hired by Quest" she said "ok,think about it,let me know by Mon" i said"ill let you know by Friday" it was Wednesday. So Friday I call and accept the job. She said "yea,im so happy" i told her i had previous plans for my bday and could i start a week from the up coming Monday? She said "no problem. We will see you on the 23rd, Mon". So 10 days go by and I show up Monday. I was training with the same gal who was with me for my working interview. Melissa (office mgr) gave me this huge packet in a file to fill out. New hire paperwork. I started to fill it out she said,"no fill it out at home" i said"at home?" She ssid,"yeah, sit with Crystal and watch. Fill it out st home and bring it in tomorrow" ok IVE HAD MANY JOBS, W-4's and paperwork etc are always filled out AT WORK! They didnt want to pay me for the 20 min itd take to fill it out, RED FLAG! BTW- employers are supposed to pay you min wage for any hours worked during a working interview. No mention of me being paid. I clocked in at 8am. The Drs wife shows up. I was told she comes in periodically to help out. She subsequently asked me personal questions IE: where I worked, how many children i have etc. The Dr came up front to adjust the music and he did a double take at me. He introduced himself, I stood up and shook his hand and introduced myself. So the day went well. Tuesday am I show up snd the front door was locked. Lights out. I knock, nothing. So I wait. The day before doors were open, lights on. They open at 8am. Finally Melissa (office mgr) Im assuming thats her title, she never told me (unusual), opens the door. She said "oh Im sorry" i said "i didnt want you to think I was late" she said "its ok" i handed her the FILE on my new hire paperwork. She said "thank you. I need you to come into my office for a minute" Ok.. here it comes... She said" Dr.Willens wants to give the position to his wife. Im so sorry" i said"wait, excuse me?" She said "im sorry " i said "you offered me the job 12 days ago, i turned down another job offer. And it was more $" she said "oh im sorry" i said "THIS IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL " she said "yes I know". I was so upset and angry so I said"wow, wow" and I walked out. When i got home 15 min later I called Melissa. I got her VM. I said i was sorry I left without shaking her hand. But I was shocked and upset. I said "if thats the truth then its not your fault. But if its not the truth can you please give me the courtesy of telling me if I did something wrong. So moving forward I can correct it and be aware of it" (i have no clue what it is I could have done. I was watching all day learning the computer system) I akso said"please let me know. 1 person to another. Please be honest. Thank you " she NEVER CALLED BACK. 1- i gave up a higher paying job (reason is this job was far less physically demanding) 2-i bought scrubs for this job 3-I worked 4 hours (working interview) where i actually worked, cleaning exam rooms etc and DID NOT GET PAID. 4-I used my gas to show up at work and they could have told me the night before! Better yet never hired me in the 1st place! They said only 20% of interviews showed. Id never fo that as Im considerate and professional. So I actually lost money and a job because of them! And I didnt do anything wrong! If it were my fault It would be understandable. Advanced pain management in Mandarin Florida. Shame on them!

I was laid off in 2016 after sixteen years service as a graphic designer. I have been a GD for 30+ years working with many programs. I completed AAS degree in Web Design at end of 2018. I have been searching for work as graphic designer for 9 months. After many job offers to sell insurance, I finally got an interview with a printing company for a GD position. Nailed interview, got job & agreed on pay rate (no other benefits). First week I was given little design work. Mostly finishing procedures (padding, cutting, folding etc). Paycheck on the next Monday was at rate promised. The second week, more of same work, little computer work. The second Monday I was called into office and before giving me my check, owners wife says “we’ve decorated, since you just graduated and don’t know computers, we’ve cut your hourly wage $4/hr. So you will notice this check is smaller.” I then told her first that yes I just graduated web design and that I was not hired to do web work for them. I have done graphic work on the computer for 30 years. Using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign for at lest 10. This pay change was below the pay rate choices that were given as options in the interview, it was not what we had agreed on, it was unacceptable, and I was out of there. I don’t know if I should pursue back pay, file a grievance, report to BBB or what I should do. I did quit the job and am now looking for full time employment again at age 53.


I'd like to know why Human Resource people interview you for one position, then, to offer, play bait & switch and offer you a position you never interviewed for. Something...less than ( Hours, Pay, etc.) This Is Wrong!!!

wHICH IS THE BEST PAYOUT STRATEGY , cOMMISION, SALARY OR HOURLY WAGES??

I was supposed to start this new job at the beginning of this month, but they are so disorganized that is driving me off the wall. I have now the starting date , but I have received 3 different schedules, which one of them interferes with my school. I dont know which one to follow. I try to contacted, but no response.

I applied and was offered a job at Lowe's recently it was a decent job but when I got my offer letter it was like 2 dollars less an hour than the lower employees made so I turned them down the offered another dollar but I can't live on what they wanted to pay me what's the best way to make sure you get the most pay from an employer.
