Look for a good paid job

10 years ago my parents made a calculated, hobby fueled, decision. November of 2010 White Bluffs Brewing was born in the southwest part of Washington state. (Richland, WA) I'm an only child and was the only employee for the first 5 annual meetings. I learned a lot more about business and the commitment required to be a successful owner and operator. I made more money than you would believe and built a house by 25 that I was proud of. Bartending and tips were the reason I could afford to live comfortably and take my now ex gf (Thank God) on vacation any given week. Fast forward to the current year 2019. The business is managing to slowly increase revenue and easily survive in WA state which has swelled to over 404 Craft Brewery options. 2010 we joined a number under 100. The saturated market has made it impossible for any product average or worse to survive. Good in theory, until you realize how many people think they are producing something of good quality. I'm all for making macro brewery's die painfully and slowly. Forcing tasteless sheep to taste and feel more without the constant bathroom boogies. But maybe I'm wrong and all consumers will suddenly be able to make smart informed drinking decisions on their own without funny super bowl commercials of Clydesdales talking about how easy it is to lead the sheep to slaughter. Trump.....anybody care to argue that? Ok I'm not sure how I got here but this led me to the waste of time interviews have become. Reciting why you think you are the ideal candidate makes me think of the country club and a bunch of good ol boys having storytime. Can someone honestly say that is the best way to select the best candidate? Why not let top 3 candidates have 3 days with no training dropped into the trenches and show signs of desired work traits? I hope someone can clear this up for me as it is the reason I am still the underpaid account executive with no option for decent supplemental income. Tips and $12/hr is unbeatable my friends if you have the best product. How I miss the days.... haha

I’ve applied to about 40 jobs on various sites. I’ve been called into three interviews. The first the company is doing walk in interviews. I sit there for two hours to be taken to a computer to do a test that takes me 20 minutes to complete. Then I go sit back for another two hours to go in and talk to a body for five minutes. I go sit back out For an hour and get called back in to do another interview where they tell me the pay rate which is way below what was stated in the application I filled out.
The second interview was for a full time position for 13 an hour. I get there two minutes into the interview the woman tells me it’s for part time at 9.75. Why do they think they can falsely advertise these jobs. I need benefits and money to pay bills.

One of the most common questions asked during an interview or a job fair is…
Can you tell me about yourself?
Other variations could include... -Why should we hire you? -Why do you want to work here? -What is it about us that makes you want to work here?
Answer these 5 questions to help you plan what to say and impress employers!
1- What are the three strongest reasons I am a great fit for this job?
2- What are some positive things I can say about the company, and how can I connect what they do with what I can bring to them?
3- Why do I really want this job beyond having a steady paycheck and perks?
4- What are three AWESOME things I did in my previous position that I can also offer in this new role?
5- What is the EXACT job description (make sure to write it down) and how do MY skills match up with it? Be as specific as possible.
Answering these questions will help you feel prepared to go in with some great things to say!
Good luck ; ) we are rooting for you!!

The positions you are recommending are minimal wage and no experiences necesary. Can you please be a bit more diligent to find more appropriate job offerings?
