I have applied 3 times for those positions at Westlake Houston location to no avail, I meet all these requirements, am a veteran , have a clean record, did received an offer for part time at at a further location , I would appreciate it if I can at least get an answer, why I'm not suitable for these positions

I am currently looking for a position in Finance or Accounting in the Houston, TX area. I have been an Accountant for 5 1/2 years but, I was laid off last May when Oil and Gas took a plunge. I'm working for a smaller company currently as an Accountant but, I am tired of being miserable day in and day out. I have applied to several positions but, am having little luck. I get more scam responses than anything. I have a wife and kid so, I have to do what I have to do in order to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. As a Marine Corp Veteran you would think that it would be pretty easy to find something but, I am not getting those results. Please let me know if anyone knows of anything. After several months trying to get back into the workforce I think I have nothing to lose if I "advertise" myself here. Like the British SAS say "Who Dares Wins"

My experience has been mostly in a support role, learning the application used by a company and from there providing support/assistance to internal and external users. More like a liaison between users and programmers but I can also perform as a Customer Care/Support Rep.

It has been discouraging going thru the normal channels (submitting an online request/profile) and not hearing anything for weeks/months or not at all. In the few cases that a recruiter has contacted me, especially their contact without me contacting them first, I have become not trusting of their contact attempt since after a couple of days I am not able to get back in touch with them.

Is any warehouse looking for labor's or operators? I have many skills in shipping in receiving. Very fast worker. Need a job in the HOUSTON TX area or SPRING TX Thank you.
