While completing for my online Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, I send many resumes out to companies. The YMCA of Greater San Antonio caught it and preparing for an interview. On August 21, I went to the interview with a positive attitude. The hiring manager was excited and hired me on the spot for a after school group leader at a selected middle school. I almost cried and got the job before I graduated. What a blessing. In fact, I got part time due to my disability. I'm so excited. This job can guide me to another level.

After months of looking, after taking a job that turned out to be a disaster, I found the perfect job! Everything I had hoped for and more! Thank you, Jobcase, as it was one of your recommendations for me. Thank you to all the folks here on Jobcase who lifted my spirits when I thought I'd never find anything and those who shared their worries and complaunts so I didn't feel alone. To everyone still looking, never give up!

Camp Bow Wow is a dog day care, they pay $11 an hour. You get a break 11:30-1:30 unless you are stuck with the dogs. Only one person can handle the fifteen dogs n the play area, they're remodeling right now as well so they're gonna have 4 of them, two inside. One is for little dogs and one if for big ones, after you take them out for three hours, you go back inside and get cleaning tasks until your shift is almost over. I'm thinking about taking the morning shifts 6:30-1 during the weekdays and weekdays 7-11AM. You can also pet the dogs while you're observing them, which is good! She also said that the little ones would cuddle with you and go on your lap. They have a simple uniform, jeans, they provide the shirt and hoodie and close toed shoes which I have. The rules are that you can't have your phone on you. you must leave it in your bag, 20 minute break before they let the dogs out, can't call in sick, you must have someone to cover you or else you'll go in sick yourself. My last job was Wendy's, which sucked, we were always shorthanded and there was poor management. Since I recently quit that job, they just had 2 people hired after I left. So working with dogs now is the best job! I would also love to work with horses as well. :)

I finally got a job after 5 months. Got hired at Walgreens today was my second day and I love it. So much better than when I was at Walmart. Not stressful at all. So happy I'm finally working again. I don't feel useless anymore

I just interviewed for a job, and they are taking me on as a provisional employee for training. But when I saw the end of the world predictions, part of me though, "Figures..I finally found a job, and the world is gonna end.."

It has been a pleasure getting to know some of you on Jobcase. I know it it is a jungle out there trying to find the job your looking for in your field. But sometimes you have to take a step backwards in order to take a step forward. With that said, that is exactly what I had to do. I was able to land two jobs. Were they in the field I was looking for? No. But I have a paycheck coming in now. And in California it is hard to make ends meet, especially with rent. Happy hunting to everyone.
