Hello, my name is Jacob Butler and I am seeking an opportunity to work for a company that works with STEM research or any type of job that is in need of an intern that can problem solve, full of innovative ideas, and a immense capacity to learn as well as lead by example. I put others before myself to ensure that whatever team I'm on will be strengthened in unity rather than personal gain. I have 10+ years as a martial arts instructor for ages 4-12 year olds, steam cleaned carpet for over 4 years, started a small started business on my own braiding parachute cord products, have continuously grown in wisdom by gleaning from others in any possible way. I plan to start college soon to pursue a Master's degree in business management. In order to pursue my aspirations, I would be in need of a paid internship. If you know of a company or business that could utilize my skills, please keep me in mind! I LOOK FORWARD TO LEARNING FROM YOU! Have a blessed day, -Jacob Butler "I LIVE TO SERVE"

So, after months of trying to get an entry-level job in a different industry, reaching out to different companies, writing personalized cover letters, interviewing and yet, always ending up not getting the job, I felt compelled to write about it. I have over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, and I was also in a managerial role for the past three years. I have many skills which are considered transferable, a great work ethic and speak three languages. I have an Associate's degree in Business Administration, also pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Management/Entrepreneurship ( 3 semesters left). I have maintained a 4.0 GPA because I know how to study, I'm eager to excel, and ultimately I'm a fast learner. Also, I am a co-founder of a startup, and I've been working on different aspects of the business - marketing, bookkeeping, R&D, product design, etc. All these qualities/achievements/projects can't impress enough people to hire me regardless of how I pitch myself. I tried applying to internships and nothing. So here's my question, how does one achieve a career shift or change in this kind of situation? How do you convince someone that you can actually do the job? We are talking about a customer service position, which requirements are no different from my professional and academic experience. Seriously, what is wrong? #work #internship #recruitment #careerchange
