So I've been on unemployment since the beginning of the pandemic. I've been applying to basically everywhere in my County that was hiring and even to some places that weren't hiring in hopes to find a job. This past week all of a sudden out of nowhere I've been getting calls every day for interviews and at places that I've tried in the past to get jobs at and they never would consider me. Today I went to one of my many scheduled interviews, this one with Walgreens for a shift lead full time starting at the wage I was used to making and by the grace of God I landed the job! I am so freaking excited to have this opportunity to become a team member with Walgreens! I am so blessed to be given this job offer and to have the chance to work for an awesome company like Walgreens where I have so many different opportunities to move up in the company! To those who are still struggling on unemployment you gotta keep applying no matter how many times your turned down because your persistence will end up worth it! Talk to God and he will provide! I can't tell you how many times I've been turned down by Walgreens even for cashier positions. My application was denied because they went with someone else, but another store that I didn't apply to ended up seeing my application and pulled it for their store.
