In my last job I was the # one sakes associate in the district out of 74 employees. 4 months before I was let go the company refreshed the upper management. The HR manager, District management and store management were all new. One day I came in and was asked to a meeting. In the meeting the HR manager was on the speaker phone. The district management was sitting there and the company loss prevention management was there . I was told the register was short about 3 months earlier and they were letting me go because I was the supervisor which made me responsible for all business transactions. So, I was let go. I personally think the new management wanted a new staff.

Ok everyone, my company did a lay off and unfortunately it affected me. I have been interviewing like crazy and trying to get back to work. I am just standing on my faith that the door is about to open up for me. I am just starting to lose my faith. My background is Human Resource Business Partner. If anyone is going through the same thing or could say ecouragement words that would be nice. If anyone knows of any companies in San Diego or Orange County area please let me know.

Executive, Operations and was laid off last March. I was employed with my last company for 22 years before they eliminated my position. It's hard out here. I have nothing but respect for everyone going through this struggle. I actually had a company ask me (third interview) to create a 15 minute presentation on what I believed they needed to work on. I did this, and they even said I nailed it and yet they went with an internal candidate. I have a great resume, it means little. My background and any drug test, clean and yet again, it doesn't matter. I wish you all the best and I hope we can really make some strides 2019.

Hi i worked for my company for almost 4 years as a part time employee. They laid us off because of re organizing the merchandiser teams due to losing the contract fir McCormick. They informed all of us by conference call that as of February 13 we will be let go. So today i go into my tablet to schedule my stores for tomorrow only to discover all my Harris Teeter stores have been removed from my list. So why say you will have a job till the 13 but then take away there stores on the 4th. Cant make ends meat with only 9 stores. Feel like this large merchanduing company has lied to over 60 or 80 people.
