While Jobcase does not offer legal advice, NOLO has built a legal encyclopedia to answer questions on anything from unemployment benefits to eviction rights for anyone impacted by the Coronavirus. NOLO has one of the richest collections of legal information on the internet with thousands of easy to understand articles authored by lawyers or other legal professionals. https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/covid-19

While these articles can help you get started, remember it is always best to consult with an actual attorney if you need legal advice.

I was recently terminated from a job with the state of Indiana. I was terminated for cause; when I asked if I would be able to cash in my remaining vacation time (about five weeks), they said that time is forfeited. Is this legal? I earned that time over the 11 years I worked there....they didn't take my pension (thank god), so if the can't take my pension, can they legally take my vacation?

I relocated for a job because it promised me better pay and better perks ( like housing). I was told the company apartment wasn't ready yet and they couldn't give me a date yet. I take the job and become homeless while waiting for the apartment to be ready. I am now told I can't have the apartment because someone else still lives there and the company doesn't want to do anything about it...
