The management doesn't know how to run the company. They've only been in Albuquerque for a year and have already violated federal unemployment and federal labor laws. They abuse their employees, have favoritism, and are judgmental.

They would decommission me all the time if someone signed up for a personal training package and then decided 4 months later they didn’t want to do it anymore and they would switch cards and every month they started taking 400-500 out of my paycheck. That’s not my fault my fault was to get people to sign up it was fair. They were stealing money from me. I also asked for insurance for months and the GM said he would take care of it. I landed in the hospital due to a rib injury that ended up costing $8,000 because “he dropped the ball and forgot about it.” In addition I’ve seen personal trainer choke a client and call them the N word as well as weed fall right out of their pocket and our GM Greg Custard just would say “don’t do it again.” Greg Custard and Jamie Lamb are people who will steal your money. The assistant fitness manager there right now is making $250 every two weeks. That’s 3 dollars an hour which is illegal. They are very corrupt and will hide things to the biggest extent. A lot of bullying and a lot of complaints. They do not treat their employees right at all. They don’t care about the people in the gym or who train they care about numbers and money. Jamie Lamb (the regional manger) has also said some sexual remarks to me about other girls. Very unprofessional. Don’t ever work there I finally left and quit. And of course they won’t let me step in the building even though I peacefully quit. The last person who tried to put their two week notice in they fired him in the spot so they wouldn’t have to pay him. Then threatened to take him to court if he tried to do the same.

I turned in a complaint on a lying employee. Investigated and terminated for being dishonest. His brother on the City Council and he was reinstated and I was laid off. Law suit for 5 years ended when corrupt judge dismissed case. Be careful when you try and do the right thing.

Companies that use the term "over qualified" are in for a big surprise someday as someone will challenge them in court to PROVE how that is determined and they can't prove you will leave someday since no one can't predict the future!!! (I was a Corporate Recruiting Director for 35 years and would NEVER let my recruiters use that term!!)

Looking for an honest answer from own person knowledgeable on this subject. I have clinical manic depression and had an episode with wanting to harm myself and was admitted into the mental hospital for a week and was released a week later with a return to work slip from the Dr. I was unable to contact my employer while hospitalized cause i did not have access to my bosses phone number to notify them of my treatment. When I contacted them immediately after my release and informed them of my situation, I was informed that I had been terminated. Is that a legit case or not?

How long does it take for me to find a wrongful termination lawyer to go over my case. Was terminated 2 days before the new year came in after a bunch of lies was said about me. This was after me and a former co-worker had a disagreement

After 6.5 years (2.5 years under new supervisor) in my position I was terminated and giving the verbal reason “I wasn’t a good fit”. I was terminated on the spot. I have never had any misconduct, insubordination, unexcused absence or any written disciplinary notes. During the termination my supervisor said he was willing to give me severance pay. I told him with this unexpected news I would want to do discuss this with my husband. I asked if he had anything in writing to show why I was being terminated and the offer details of severance pay. He said “no, do you need something in writing?” I said yes. He told me to come back the next day and he would have something. I went back the next day and he had a five page documented and said he had a lawyer draw it up. There were things listed that I wanted to look into so I didn’t sign it and took it with me. Then I talked to my lawyer who agreed that some of the content was concerning. ( one being that I could never work for this agency again even in the future in successor programs) By law I still have 14 additional days to sign the agreement as is, which I am not planning to. As must as I need the income I don’t think it is fairly written. Additionally, since my termination my health insurance was canceled. I went to the clinic we use (employee owned/so I would no longer be eligible) the day after I was terminated to check on getting copies of recent labs and prescriptions. This facility was able to provide in house labs and medications for our employees. The nurse at the clinic pulled up my file and found the following documentation. “Owner of (company’s name) called today to inform us ... Do not refill the prescription for (listed they name of the Medication) for (listed my first and last name). If she chooses to refill this she will need to do so at a local pharmacy and pay for it.” The disturbing part of this, not only did they name my medication and single me out, this call was made nearly 3 weeks before I was terminated and was not made aware of it. Feeling discriminated and violated. Any thoughts ?

Hi I Applied for Nordstrom's as a Security Officer and was Hired. He seem like a really nice Guy and he was just promoted to Manager. Mind you I checked and Nordstrom's states that it will consider applicants with criminal histories. After my background was done I had all eligibles. So I called the back on company and they told me I passed my background check. But I had a misdemeanor from 2017 for driving without license not suspended. So I called him and told him I background check is done, he was at home today it was a Friday so he told me he was going to check it from his computer. Monday roll around don't hear anything the whole weekend. So I text him and text him. He finally called and told me I have something on my background and he couldn't hire me. I told him I passed the background check, he said he was human resources decision not his, which I don't believe. So I call human resources they say you have a misdemeanor I said I know but I passed a background check. She said for that particular position you can't have nothing on your record but you can apply for other positions in Nordstrom's. Because we don't check backgrounds for that (retail) so I applied again for retail shoes positions and other retail positions still no call back. I'm so upset this doesn't sound right and it doesn't make any sense I spent money on boots and everything for this position how you going to say that you don't check backgrounds for retail but you check for security makes no sense. Who can I call.
