Three weeks ago I got release from prison. They kept telling us how the reentry process worked but it is still hard to find a job as a felon. I'm working hard to be productive. It's overwhelming. It turns out to activate my professional license, I'll need 7 years in order to get hired. I talked to the agency but the wait has been too long. I feel like my past skills has gone down to drain now that my license has been suspended. Where should I be looking now? Any licensing that won't look at my background?

Hello, I just completed my MSW last year in Puerto Rico. I recently moved to New Jersey because the island is affected by Hurricane Maria and I am trying to get lincense in this state. I have been on the NASW and New Jersey Division of consumer Affair website, but I still have questions. Is anyone here familiar or experienced with the license in this state? I need help or information.

A friend of mine has been considering getting their CDL for trucking. I was looking into it for them and found some benefits: training can be as short as 3 weeks, high levels of job security, competitive salaries averaging $39,000/year, part-time options, etc.

All of this sounds awesome but I was wondering if anyone with personal knowledge about CDL training/trucking in general could provide some insight or advice. Thanks!

Hello everyone thanks for the support and Incuragement:) and yes I was charged with D.U.I but I fought it and got it dropped too a wreck less. I have been done with probation, and the classes I had to take. The only thing stopping me is money:( I was late on one payment so it went into collections. I tried taking to them but in order for them to release my license they want to put me under contract stipulating that the first months payment $75, then the second months payment $150 and on the third month but the payment will be $200. Then it will level out at $200 till payment is paid n full.but they will release it after the first payment is made. So I did that but what they didn't say was that they will send the paperwork in but you will have to wait till the Courts decision to send it to the D.O.L. then they decide if I'm eligible for my license. But by that time I couldn't make the next payment.... Sy then the hole visious cycle starts all over again:( AAAHG
