I really liked making people smile with my service. People love candy. Was also a fairly lighthearted eviornment for the most part, exept during the busy season.

Honestly most of my experiences there were okay. The other employees were kind. It was for the most part "trans inclusive." Meaning my identity was not an issue getting hired. The candy really was good, I really liked candy making but the co-ownwr's agressive behavior and demeanor made me very uncomfortable. If you are easily susceptible to anxiety situationally or othwrwise, expect little accomidation from this employer. Also, the mode of pay was entirely on the "honor system." Checks were written by hand with pay rate and other info included. Convienent for some, but understandably not for others...

Thinking I could work there without my health problems getting in the way

I had a panic attack at work and needed medical attention. The owner was very agressive with me, questioning me repeatedly as to why I would "sabotauge his buisness like this." Meanwhile I was expressing that I could not breathe, he seemed far more concerned with the affairs of his buisness than my health as one of his employees. I have an anxiety disorder, my health problems are out of my control. That day i had an episode so bad I 51/50'd and was rushed to urgent care. I was not payed for my last two days of work and still have not heard from them. A great job for anyone who is acoustomed to being talked down to and discriminated against for their mental illness. 0/10 would not reccomend, though I hear their other location is far better.
