well i had my first day of work at macy's at our local mall yesterday... it was quite the test with it being a 7.50 hr shift but at the same time fulfilling... i enjoyed helping people find what they wanted and also helping them apply their star money for even more discounts... i could tell that meant alot to them. next i work is thursday... that is one big plus is you pick up the available shifts you want that way you can still enjoy family time. thanks for listening as always!
job training went well today Macy's... another onboarding session tomorrow to finish up the training and then to just figure out my scheldule... glad to start this new chapter in my life and to help my family again.
I would suggest to look at other places first, Macy’s pay scale is terrible. You will work hard and the pay will be small. You can learn a lot about clothing, any department you want but do not make a career out of it.

When I worked at the jewelry counter at Macy's I had a father come in and was buying his daughter her first pair of "grown-up" earrings. They told me that she lost her mom very young so it was a special moment. I was glad to help them pick out something that was just right for her. Made me feel good. You gotta look for the wins in your job and focus on the positives.

I would tell them it's a very nice place to work if you like working with people if you don't like to work with people then it's not a good place for you to work there Macy's likes friendly people with good customer service but I like to work with people and I do have good customer service
