The Board of Registrars is a great place to work. Everyone has the common goal of ensuring that voters are registered according to the rules and are legitimately qualified to vote. Part of the job is to inform our clients of their polling place, what ID they should bring with them and answer any other questions they have. Direct client contact is part of the job.

The biggest mistake I did while working was getting there early and not letting my supervisor see me or co workers to the point that they let me go. (for working). Apparently I was suppose to be at my desk or some one would have to see me to justify my hours in the building. but no one said I was doing anything wrong.

I never had a co- worker get angry with me. I treat everyone with respect and love who they are. as they are.

I'll never forget participating in demonstrations to desegregate the Northwood Shopping Center near the campus. Our continued demonstrations eventually led to desegregating all public facilities in Baltimore city.
