Hello my fellow jobcasers it's been well over a year since I've been on with you all! Been a busy hard year for me. And this Covid isn't helping. I had finally landed a good paying job that I loved until I had a medical issue occur and I had to take a leave of absence the end of February. Dr. Said it was take the leave or possibly loose a foot! As much as I had been dealing with the pain of this issue for quite awhile I finally listened, even though I knew I wasn't going to have an income coming in. Since you can't collect unemployment if you aren't able to work. And it would've taken way to long if I had applied for temporary disability. I'm really kind of sad now,my job had promised that if I took care of myself & got back to 100% that I'd still have a place to go back to when I was healed. Not expecting all of this Covid to happen, with alot of his family being out of work/school themselves. He's taken a few of them on to help them out until thing's go back to "Normal" and he doesn't have room for me to come back right now! Very very disappointed, after going this long without pay do I wait until all the family goes back to their lives? Or do I find something else and move on? I really really loved the job & would also love to wait but bills need to be paid and savings are dwindling. I have the opportunity to possibly step into another job, don't know for sure yet. Interview sat morning. The pay is better, being salary & health/dental insurance which I didn't have before. But also a family owned business, which I love. I know the smart thing would be to check out the other job, even though it's about a 40 minute ride one way. But the hour's are perfect and I'd be off the same day's as my hubby! #helpnoincome #needsomeadvice #foodservice #outofwork #interview
