First job experience in my life and I’m already terrible at it. !8 years old and got written up yesterday as needs improvement. Been here for 3 months but only got 1 day training. Everything else had to figure out how to do on my own. What should I do?

I'm getting ready to start my first job and had asked the manager about the dress code. He said it's pretty casual and can wear jeans. My first day is next week, and although I would love to go to work in jeans, I want to make sure I make a really good impression. Should I dress up just a little better so I start off on a good foot here? #Advice #Determined

I just got my first job And its at fast food Im super neverous ill mess up and they'll fire me. Any advice for working in fast food? :l

I just got a new job. Took years. Good luck to all.

Hey Jobcasers!
I've been working at my current position since 9/6 and it's been going well. Benefits are great, commute not so good, but it's manageable. However, there is one big pain point: my hourly rate. It's a dollar above Unemployment. I can't support my family on it.
So why did I agree to that? Because by the end of August, my Unemployment benefits were running out (only $1000 left) and my job search was turning up zilch. But I got an interview for this job and I felt if I pushed back on the salary, they wouldn't hire me.
So today, I am going to my manager to request a raise. But I'm not going in to say, "I need it," rather, I'm going in with "Look what I have accomplished in only six weeks." (My manager announced yesterday he is leaving the company as of 11/1). Not only did I need to support my family, I want to turn off the job search machine and work here for a while instead of another two month gig on my resume. This will be scary, so say a prayer.

I just Got a Job toady and was Hired what a start for new year of 2016

What’s a good steel toe work boot for warehouse work? I’m on my feet 8-10 hours per day, 6 days a week, and my knees and lower back are killing me. I’m not in horrible shape but this is new job so I’m still trying to adjust. I went all out with my first paycheck for a new job and bought a pair of Dr. Martens Safety boots for $150 but still no change after 3 weeks wearing them. I’m about to OD on Advil and Tylenol pills just to get through the shift. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I am starting a new position on May 2 and am wondering yesterday I had a procedure done on my esophagus and have to have second procedure done in 8 weeks. After procedure I am laid up for another day. Should I notify new employer before I start job or wait until I start to tell them.

I am jobless now and desperately searching for a job. Please send any job connections and openings my way. This is a very tough time.
