NG AS, St. Augustine was like a family. Giant corporation but didn't feel that way. Unfortunately, that has been changing extremely fast.

NG DS, doesn't get hung up on degrees and usually is happy to take experience over a degree. Downside, the DS sector is much smaller with less opportunities.

To land a job at #Northrop Grumman Marine Systems I would make sure to...

It depends on a contract or permanent position; knowing a contract position will pay more than permanent position, is good advice. For any type job at NGC, your skill is what you are being hired for, so don't slack off just because you hired on as permanent position. This is true anywhere, but you must earn the respect of those you work with, regardless of your education. Doing your best at any job you have each day, requires your best work.

Actually, it was my supervisor/manager. She, without hesitation or any modicum of reluctance, publicly insulted, embarrassed, and derided me in front of our co-workers because she mistakenly insisted that I had “dropped the ball” for a pricing request from our proposals department. A female Contracts person offered up her version of what she thought our proposals department was really looking for. Without even looking into the matter herself, my (female) manager decided that of course I had to be wrong since my take did not agree with the (female) contract administrator. Regrettably, I mistakenly resigned a few days later. If I had to do it all over again, the outcome would have played out differently with certain persons’ careers on the line for the public humiliation I had endured. Even now I still toy with the thought of retaliation and retribution that the facts of my departure would invoke were they given the light of day.

If you’re a female, you’re all set. The tables have been turned from the “good ole boys” club to the “good ole gals” club. They protect themselves from all harm and antagonist intervention whilst shamelessly promoting themselves into key and influential positions regardless of qualifications and the lack thereof.
