My job requires working out of the office with very little time at my desk. I find it difficult to do my required paperwork and therefore end up working 2 extra hours unpaid. My boss refuses to pay for my overtime. I don't agree that I should be working if I'm not being paid! But my boss wont budge....

I work for a construction contractor and I like it almost all the time (well maybe like 75% of the time lol). For the first time in my career, I got an injury (broken wrist). However, because it happened on my normal day off and I forgot to report that I was doing overtime, my company refuses to acknowledge that the injury happened "on the job" and will neither cover the expenses nor even pay me for that day of work (since if they paid me for the work they'd be admitting I was working). Can I force them to do either of these or did I dig myself into a hole by forgetting to report the extra work?

I've been looking for a job for about 5 months now. The last job I had was at Leapers Inc. and it was a good one but, became more stressful overtime. The people were the best and I felt sad when I quit. I started off as a line worker than eventually was asked to be moved into a better position to get hired in. So I became a cnc macine operator. Than my hours got longer and eventually I was doing overtime. On my last day it was very hot and I didn't feel to well. The reason why I didn't feel to well was because of the machine coolaint fumes. I told my boss the truth about how I felt that this job was taking over my life and making me become more unhealthy to were I wouldn't get any sleep and sometimes became dizzy while working. I also asked him could I switch to another position but, that wasn't an option. I didn't have a car or anything to take home, I caught 2 busses home or called an uber if I didn't feel good enough to take the bus. I want to know if I should of kept my job or was quiting good?

You've got to be kidding me. Just found out that the new overtime pay law just got blocked by a federal judge. So employers can keep taking advantage of us and make us work long hours without paying us properly? What the hell??

I get paid bi-weekly. So full time it up to 80 hours. Are there a certain amount of overtime hours that it's considered illegal to work? Such as I had 80 full time hours and 51hours overtime.

I worked on the Ford Line at Webasto for ten year's. Five years out of ten I had perfect attendance, and we worked a lot of overtime.

I need your advice with this please. Can my company reduce my salary without officially demoting me or reducing my job duties and responsibilities? I’ve been reading up on how some companies are reacting to the new overtime pay rules by reducing hours and employee wages. I just want to know if this is legal and what I should watch out for.

Do you think the OT rule a good move for small businesses? This info shows that the salary threshold is expected to rise every 3 years. Small business typically rely on their mid-level employees to carry the heavy load of the business and compensate us with Stock options or Free Benefits. How will remain competitive under this new law ? I’m asking because I’m a manager at a small company right now and I'm thinking about the longevity of my job. Do I need to start looking for a new job?
