As a property manager, before taking the job, I would ask when the last time an audit was done on the residents files. I would ask if the property is in good standing with vendors, and lastly I would ask what shape the property was in financially. Again, I truly believe the first line management is top notch. At least mine was, but I would be careful what you say to anyone higher than your DM. Overall, great properties to live at.

I'm positive I made mistakes, however, they were never addressed to me. All of my reviews were positive and yet I was still let go without being given a reason. If my DM wasn't such a good guy I would have never even known my job was in jeopardy.

I am seeking a position as an Assistant Property Manager

Do your job required of you and do it 100%, which you should do anywhere, and go home , don't make it personnel, don't have or develop feelings, treat it as just a job or a check and then at the end of the day go home.
