My advice to people interested in working at #PublicSchoolsofRobesonCounty as a #6thGradeMathTeacher ...
Do not go there!!! I was there for 15 1/2 years, and I became a very detached and unmotivated teacher when I used to be the BEST!!! I became VERY drained because I felt as if no one cared about my students or me, the teacher. I felt I had to leave because the ship was sinking. I miss my students, and it was a very difficult time for me when I left. I had to keep my sanity!

I allowed myself to take my job home with me: grading papers, figuring data, lesson plans, completing newsletters, buying incentives out of my on pocket, buying supplies for classroom, and the list goes on and on....

The administrators were not available to deal with a very high risk situation. This was the norm for me.

I ignored it at first because I was teaching a class. I then went to that person when there were no children around. We discussed as adults and the situation was resolved.

I loved the children. I also had great experiences with families as a whole.
