In today's world? probably. It's common place to do so. What could you possibly have to hide?

So i have a question, since employers can’t ask about criminal records during the initial interview and are only allowed to do a criminal record search AFTER they’ve extended a job offer, what’s to stop them from rescinding it then? I have a Class A on my record and it just feels like instead of outright rejection, now the carpet will be yanked out from under me after I think I have the job. Is this the gist of it?

Companies are making hard for everyone, not just felons. Unemployment is definitely not bias either.

I've been fortunate to work for some of the largest builders in the country, never fired from a job was laid off.im trying to figure how the companyd I have previously worked for,did not see the felony that is on my record from 1984,and now in 2021 I can't get a job for anything, because of this felony.

I have applied to 100 or jobs,I'm in the home building industry, and I have a felony from 1984 on my record, and that mistake has haunted me my entire life

I recommend this 2nd chance job search discussion that you can participate and see lots of members sharing their success stories. Lots of recommendation about UPS and truck driving. Also feel free to check these employer recommendations to see if there’s any opportunities that fit you the best. Good luck!

Call them first to set up an appointment Have all ur documents and paperwork ready cause they are required Be on time and be honest as possible,if u have felonies, tell them ,they'll work with u..

I’m retired now. If the candidate was offered the job and accept that’s when Background check is requested thru a private company that specializes background check. It would take several weeks.
