I enjoyed working with the residents, many of my fellow floor nurses and aides who made themselves available to lend me a helping hand if I needed any kind of help. It was a cooperative atmosphere created by the administrator Dan Ledet who always asked us to manage our time and work efficiently and always as a team. His years with Retama provided the stability and consistency employees need to feel a sense of security never issuing threats, manipulations, creating gossip or talking down to staff as one newer administrative 'leader'? imposed on staff rather than offering assistance when requested. Other than that I had a very good experience. Sincerely, Laura Llanes

Be respectful at all times and don't count on the DON for direction as she does not provide it due to either lack of knowledge or interest.

When the DON was negative and annoyed about assisting my fellow nurses when she was on call.
