Walmart, the country’s biggest private employer, instituted an emergency leave policy. Hourly workers will get up to two weeks’ pay if they have COVID-19 or if they're required to quarantine by either the government or Walmart. #walmart #benefits #wholehuman

I transferred stores and district to gain more hours.( I desperately needed that I was a single mom of 3). I loved working there. Loved my customers and co-workers only problem was the actual store manager didn't want to do her job. I felt like regardless who did it it had to get done so I worked and worked . I worked 70+ hours a week opening to close just about every single day with no days off. I working thru my lunch break everyday. Showing up to start stalking shelf's and unloading frieght at 6 am at least 3 days aweek and was told I could not clock in for it. I was checking in the truck even thought I should not have been but my manager was never there to do so, so she just gave me the back door key to handle all of that for her. As I worked 70+ hours a week, she was only working 32 hours a week I tried talking to the district manager about it and I was threatened to be wrote up 2 times for working on my lunch break then not working through my lunch break as well as not getting enough stock out. The manager just happen to forget to schedule anyone to come in to be a cashier she didn't show either this was on one of those days when I came in at 6am and worked a open to close the day before. Soi did the best I could and when I tried talking to her the following day it didn't go well so I quit.

I am SO nervous! I work for a small business that cleans homes, hotels and motels so I work with a lot of traveling people all the time! I feel like this gives me a higher chance of exposure to the virus. Is this true?

I also have two young kids at home and I worry about them. What if I get sick and can't go to work??

So much is going around about Corona Virus and not going to work sick made me wonder how many people can take 3-4 days off every time they start sneezing? Especially if you have little kids like I do that always have a runny nose?

Would love to hear how many people actually have a job where they would still get paid and a boss that would understand?

I was reading my daily clips this morning and thought this would be helpful to the community? The question is:

What happens to your well-being when you stop using Facebook?

Maybe you’re tired of your uncle’s political tirades. Maybe you’re sick of wall-to-wall baby pics. Maybe you’re staging a teeny-tiny privacy protest.

We all have reasons for quitting Facebook. But have you ever thought about what happens to you if you do? Some economists studied precisely that.

They recruited (through Facebook ads, of course) 2,743 people to unplug from Facebook for 4 weeks. Here’s what they found:

1️⃣ You might get an hour of your life back. For the average unplugger, walking away from Facebook freed up 60 minutes per day.

2️⃣ You might spend less time consuming news. The unpluggers reported spending 15% less time gorging on headlines.

3️⃣ You might be less exposed to polarizing news. That being said, deactivating didn’t affect people’s negative views about another party.

4️⃣ You might be happier. There were “small but significant” improvements in “self-reported happiness, life satisfaction, depression, and anxiety.”

5️⃣ You might consider Facebook’s role in your life. Unpluggers said they thought more about whether the platform is really good or bad.

One thing's for sure: It's not easy to drop the 'book. The researchers had to pay their subjects a hefty amount -- some as much as $102! -- to get them to unplug in the first place.

Their findings are also most relevant for individuals, not large groups. It’s not clear what would happen if everyone Facebook Cleansed at once. I will add-in number 6; You could apply for more jobs, do better research on the company you applied to? Most importantly spend quality time with your love ones? Have a Good Day! #motivation #unemployment #stressful #firstjob
