I was fired after 5 years with a company for becoming ill due to Covid-19 in Aug. I was then approved for unemployment but they turned around the next week and switched my status to “under investigation” but no reasoning on why. It’s almost Jan 2021 and I still have yet to receive a penny of it. Is there anyone out there that can help? I am happy to report that I have found a new career, one in which I believe that dedication and working hard will take me to the top. After my job searching I can look back and say that when the dark clouds and doubt were rolling in I would just smile and pray. I kept a grateful heart and asked for guidance and resources.
Today the sun just seems so much brighter and the day so much warmer. IF you are out there struggling and wondering and doubting, have no fear. Don't give in and don't give up. You will find your way and you have to believe that.
Good afternoon, I have been actively searching for employment for over 2 years now. Yes, 2 years. I am currently a stay at home mother of two. After leaving my last place of employment we decided to expand our family. I apply to at least 10 jobs a week, I get an interview about once a month. I'm getting looked over. I dress and look professional, I am respectful and feel i do very well on my interviews. I apply for jobs I am well qualified for and for job I am well over qualified for. Living on one income is a struggle and I am more than ready to go back to work. It's such a bummer to constantly get denial emails and not get the call that the job is mine. I've been to a job coach and my resume has been critiqued. I feel I am doing what I need to do, I am just loosing hope that I will never get another job. I have even applied at the local grocery stores and pet stores. Send some good juju and I will do the same for anyone having a difficult time as I am. Thank you!
I'm looking for an job that will get pay minimum wage so I can help my mom pay her rent she is struggle trying to take care of me and my sister and brother she be struggling buying me bus passes getting me to school well gas.
Hi @Candace Mollette , there are several reasons why a claim is under investigation Claims investigator will update your claim when they have looked into the issue. The issue with waiting on an investigator to find time to re-visit your claim. Some of our members have shares success expediting their pending unemployment claims by contacting their local state representative. Do you know who your representative is?
You can use the Find my representative website to locate the contact information for your rep. Call or email and provide a brief description of your claim status. They should be able to assist or refer you to someone within the state UI agency who can get your claim resolved.
