I am Betty, I am 65 and I got me a new job in the month of November 2019. I talked to the person, which was a lady on Saturday which was the last Saturday in November of last year and was asked to come for an interview on Monday before it was over the lady hired me on the spot.. Now, I am planning on going back to college to finish my nursing license. So, I Know if I can do it, why not someone younger should be able to also do it to. Sign , B

I just wanted to thank everyone for their posts, because they've helped me on my quest to find my new job, which I start in February. I just went to my interview on Thursday, and was offered the job at my interview. That doesn't happen very often. I went in with a positive attitude and it worked. I hope all of you find what you're looking for too. ☺

I remember my grandfather always said if you love what you do you'll never work a die in your life. It took along time for me to some up the courage to go for it I quit my 18 dollar an hour job to find a place place that would hire me and train me to be a mechanic with no schooling and I am happy to say today was the first day at Toyota of Renton who is owned by O'Brian they were willing to give me a chance to grow couldn't be more thankful

I like a lot of people have been going through a lot of "stuff!" and I will be 67 this month. Of course its harder as we age but outlook is everything. Of course, we go through down days and challenges. My last 4 years have to be rough due to my last relationship which left me starting over at 63! I have been through a ton of changes, a lot of which were not to my liking. However, giving up is not an option, we dig deep, pray for guidance, ask for help and move on. I lost my last job right after thanksgiving but was determined 2020 would be good. I was humble (a good think to learn) told everyone I needed a job. I got the call either Dec 26th or 27th and interview the next day. I was offered position on 31st. I start my new job Jan. 7th. If I can do this at my age, I know you can too! Good luck to you all.

So a few days ago I posted about working at Food Lion and was trying to get some advise about how the hiring process was. Well, that same day I applied with a updated resume and in a couple days, I was called in for a interview :) Normally I am a nerve wreck when it comes to interviews but since I am so use to it now, every question that I was asked my answer was detailed, brief and very professional :) I also threw in a couple of jokes to make her laugh, she liked me so much that she I offered me a position the same day and is paying me more than what they start their New Hires off with NO EXPERIENCE :) This may not be a big deal for you all but it is FOR ME, because since my last job, it has been very hard to get a job and if I did get a job, it would be a warehouse job which I DO NOT like but I trusted my faith and quit the warehouse so I could find something that I KNEW I could do, and I didn’t give up! I am happy that I believed in what I was doing and took a risk, because now here I am getting ready to start back doing what I love to do which is CUSTOMER SERVICE

Today was my first day...Guess he was expecting me to not have a clue...First hour, kinda slow, introductions, showed me around then bam, busy. He asked if I wanted to come in tomorrow...Can't wait.

Good Morning Community,
May your days be filled with happiness and joy during this holiday season. Thanksgiving is a time to give Thanks and Blessings to all the things we are grateful for. What are some of the things you are thankful for this Thanksgiving? Sometimes, holidays can be overwhelming to some of us and it is time to also share your time with a loved one. Let them know you are thinking about them. Whether it be a family or friend offering kinds of words of wisdom can always brighten their day. Take the time to be kind to a stranger by simple words of wisdom. Homelessness is a growing concern in our communities and this is just another way one can brighten a stranger's day. Let them know someone is kind enough to say a word of encouragement to them and they matter too. Many elderly, seniors and others will be spending this holiday alone. Some in a warm place others not so fortunate to have a warm place to stay? Please keep in mind the simple blessings you have and share it with others. May Your Thanksgiving be filled with many blessings and Happiness today and everyday forward.

back in July i walked out of a job for the first time in my life for 2 reasons.
reason one: i was being harassed by another coworker who was a complete B**** and a 2 faced Catch U Next Tuesday. i went to the store manager multiple times and she didn't do jack squat.
Reason 2: the day i walked, the store manager discriminated against me all because i have Carpel tunnel in my right wrist. and i was having some issues with my wrist on my last day and the store manager (and on her day off out of all days) went off and said that the doctor should not have released me if my wrist wasn't fully healed. i was royally pissed because you are stuck with carpel tunnel for life unless you get surgery. it is not like a sprain or a break.
my only regret is not throwing the most heaviest item at the 2 faced catch u next tuesday. i managed to find 3 jobs just after i left and i have been better off since.

I just want to let everyone know that I am thinking of all of you. I am happy with my decision when I walked out on my job. Thing have been falling into place. Everything has been going great. I really love the job and the challenges it has given me. I look at things differently now. I am not afraid anymore. I am starting to get my life back and more. I just wanted to tell everyone thank you once again you will always be in my heart I will never forget each and everyone of you for the kind words and a reminder who I am and for all the prayers. Happy holidays to all of you, just remember stand tall be proud of yourself. Never forget who you are always you have jobcase to go to for kind words and encouragement. Thank you once again so much. Your truly Carrie..

Hello All, presently, I have been looking for a job about 5 weeks. I am truly blessed. I went on two interviews last week and have accepted an offer that was made today. I appreciate this site and all that add their input. Good luck to everyone!
