So I started my new job. It is pretty fun, not at all easy. You have to use common sense, reasoning skills, intelligence, safety awareness and perform physical tasks (not limited to).. I am technically a sort of technician, and we are personally responsible for a particular product 75% of the globe has heard of by name, yet the Company is kind of low-key. I enjoy it, and I make sure to meet if not exceed my employers expectations. So far I seem to be living up to that. My employer grants generous benefit packages. I have almost everything you can think of. I understand their benefit package is equal to 30% my income, which is huge (no matter your annual bring-home)! They recognize their employees, and I plan to deliver for decades to come. I love this place and will do everything in my power to keep my position. My Supervisor made it clear that I have garnered the attention of "Top Key Players" in the Company, and continuance of my education has been brought up to me as well already. I'm game, sign me up! I couldn't be happier. This is the 1st time I've been hired on full time with benefits since my first real position as a Landscaper when I was 16-21. I was there for almost 5 years, then exactly a decade later this job found me. I've been in poverty for so long, yet on the cusp of benefits being unobtainable. Now I pay for my own unbeatable Private PPO Healthcare Plan, Dental, Vision, 401(k)/403(b), Long TD, Short TD Ins.Accidental Ins, Critical Illness Ins., legal Ins., tuition reimbursement, etc. When an employer has these as benefits, matches on your retirement, pays for 4/5ths of everything... you want to build a lasting bond with them. They care. These are the reasons to go with them. The fact that they'll also make you a retired millionaire while you still live comfortably on your wage and anything that could happen is covered... is just an added bonus.

How I handle discouragement will always be a deciding factor in my success no matter what I might attempt. Often times it is all I can do to get myself going in the right direction. Abraham Lincoln did not start his political career unto his middle fifties and had numerous setbacks and failures both personally and professionally. Babe Ruth had more strikeouts than any other player. The road to success always starts in the mind. All feelings have the potential to ignite in the mind, energy. What I do with that energy is always a choice.

For over three years I have been looking for a better paying job. I been blessed to start training for my new job next week. The good part it's four dollars more an hour. Over the years I had to work two jobs to keep my head above water. Sometimes you have to look outside the box. I liked doing the job I do everyday but the pay wasn't that great. Some say I made good money. If you paying bills alone you have to look for hirer paying jobs. Now maybe I can start me a 401k.

To Everyone out there looking for work you really have to want to work! I'm not talking about all the regulars that have lost their jobs due to downsizing or illnesses I'm talking about the ones that just put in applications & never follow up with them. Their was a point in time recently that I couldn't find one good job,now that I've had one since March I've gotten 2 more offers recently! You've got to get yourself out there, jobs are everywhere right now! The last one I really think I'm taking it,it's actually heading towards a management position. I was asked to come in after I had already worked my regular 8 hour's at my other job and they wanted to see what I could do. I was offered $15 an hr to work 4-9 through the dinner rush,it's a very popular and busy Pizza/Seafood place in our town. The owner worked kinda beside me for like the first half hour then just let me do my thing. At the end of the shift yes I was exhausted after running around for 8 hour's beforehand but I still kicked ass. Sorry about the language. Like I said he had offered me $15 an hour, well I did so much better then Anyone he'd seen in a long time that he actually gave me $20 so I made $100 for 5 hour's just to see how I'd fit in and how or if I could handle it. I'm telling you all, offer a working interview! Show them what you can do,if you can handle it and give it Everything you've got. I have been working so hard to get to this point in my life,I'm in my early 40s and myself and my husband really want to buy a house. Well I think that in just a few short month's we should be at that point in life Finally. But it wasn't just handed to me,I busted my butt to get to where I am. I bought my 1st new car last year and it feels so good I can only imagine what it's going to be like on my 1st home. The point of the story is that job's are out there, you just really have to be persistent. You have to want it,they aren't going to just come to you.(as my grandmother says) You can do this, now go do it! You'll feel so much better,I know I do.. I want to hear some stories about finding that perfect job.. Come on now....
