I was active duty for 7 years and 8 months in the Air Force and was forced to leave due to downsizing/reshaping of the force and only had 4 months to find a job, so I sprung to action and attended all the job fairs I could find; fortunately, I was blessed to land a job at the Port Authority of NY & NJ and started working only a few months later and now I've been here for nearly two years. I know it's tough for military members to transition to the civilian sector at times but I say don't give up because your military background could help you in many ways. Also don't forget to use your other benefits and the Veteran's Affairs as well-there are many programs to assist prior military members.

Finally got to start my new job yesterday after a 3wk background check. i believe it was worth the wait.....

Just got back from my onboarding at a huge print shop, for nearly twice my current pay, full bennies, and a strong company! Perseverance and a professional attitude are the keys. I simply suited up, showed up, and acted like a grown up. It is out there for you - all you have to do is swim out and get it. "Can't" should not even be part of your vocabulary.

Hi, I landed that job that was posted here on Jobcase.

First day from completing my orientation yesterday and today I am training working in a group home with Artistic individuals. I almost gave up trying BUT I kept faith and was always motivated due to the fact of having my two girls. I want to say Thank You to the whole Jobcase staff and I appreciate everyone working with me to find a job/career.

Well I went to horizon Staffing and got a job at strength of Nature. It's Monday thru Thursday night shift and 9.50 a hour so I'll keep you guys posted about how it goes for me.

The site says, All things for all current and past employees of UPS. I have never worked their, but I am really excited about the hiring process so far. Both interviews, phone (Calin Obrien) and in person went very well. The in person (Sara) in Cody, WY was one of the best interviews I have ever been to. Very informative, answered all my question openly and honestly. With real talk that I could relate to. Asked questions of me in the same manner as well. I hope I did not miss the phone call while I was busy or anything. 11/1/2019 is still a good ways out but after such great communication and a mutual respect of safety and customer service, I am really excited to put my professional skills to the test. I look forward to taking my skills to the next level and learning from the best. Good luck to anyone trying to get on the hired bus and congratulations to anyone already drivin it!

After months and months of endless applications, finally a job. Is it my dream job, no, but it will pay my bills, put money in my pocket and help me feel normal again. It was absolutely depressing getting up every day jobless, with bills adding up and not knowing when it was going to change. So, to all of you that are stuck in the struggle, hang in there and remember, this to shall pass.

Thank you Jesus for finding me a job as well! He will do what he say he will do when we've done all we can do but stand...

Got a job
