Working with the animals is enjoyable. The owner, on the other hand, is very unprofessional with his employees. He treats the animals great but treats employees like trash. He will belittle, undermine and yell at you. 3rd day of employment he screamed and yelled when I first got in the door in front of all the other employees that I tell him if I was going to be full time or not, if not get out (which I had already told him I had no problem with the hours or the job) He was sick that day. He will tell you he wants you to work full time, trying to give you 40 hours a week and require you to be available everyday of the week for every shift. In 2 weeks as a full time employee he gave me less then 40 hours (this is something he does to all employees which was confirmed during conversation with them) When I spoke with the owner about the hours he didnt schedule me at all the next weeek. I questioned him as to why which he never responded to then he fired me saying I was always late which wasnt the case. He was mad because I told him he was being unprofessional and I wouldnt except being treated the way he was treating me. The day before that a full time employee who had been there for 1 year quit because of the similar issues. His turn over rate for 1 year is over 20. Regardless if my words are believed or not, the numbers dont lie and speak for themselves.
