Learn your customers names,preferences and vehicles. It encourages: repeat business,safety and builds lasting relationships. Example Julie drives a blue buick,prefers cappacino in the am and smokes basic light 100s soft packs..In the evening she stops by for sports drinks and often forgets to buy ice for them with out a reminder . Trace gets three two dollar lottery tickets,pall malls and coffee every day at 630 am, on his way to work offer him a donut for breakfast . This makes your job and the customers day easier.
My most dangerous mistake..bleaching the floor with road salt residue. They react as chlorine gas but msds was right there and we aired out n rinsed floor w cold water.
My customers were on a daily first name basis.I enjoyed giving their day a smile and sence of community.I am still known as sunoco sara ' by most of them.
Ot was a great friendly working workplace.
Working as cashier and crispy crunchy chicken other then that it was the worst place to work at I was accused of stealing from the store which I never stole from the store I rarely if ever got paid on time and one time it took the owner 2 weeks to give me one pay check he doesn't keep the gas station store clean and the kitchen is unsanitary it is a waste of my time working there he hires drug dealers and had me sell people crack pipes called glass pens or roses he also sold date rape drugs and chore boys for the crack pipes in which he hides under the register that place sickened me and to think they never got in trouble yet is a poor job the NFPD is doing.
