being my own boss, the ability to hire, working with customers, being both an expert salesman, and bidder, trouble shooting problem. everything was great about the job except for my hours. for I had to work twice as long daily as any others in the company.
I worked for managers that let me do my job without constant micro managing.

Less OT mandatory hours. Some 7 days a week continuously. Family life is essential for marriages to work successfully. Point system too, strict for a calendar year.

I really enjoyed being able to put other skills to work. I learned that I excelled at skills I never knew were skills and I loved that I was able to interact with many different positions of people of the phone as well as working as a team with my fellow coworkers. It was very nice that I was able to have great freedom in creating schedules and taking an active part in every step from recruiting to hire, benefits, placement and even occasional termination of some employees.

I am looking for a new job if not in construction then in any physical work would be fine i have run my own company in construction for 30 yrs and Worked in maintenance for GNC Foundry and wharehouse manager at Sears , in construction have done foundations to the roof and all in between, have done both commercial , and residential , delt with permits and inspectors, #welder #electrician #utilities #relocation
