Working retail can be tough. Customers get angry, frustrated, and can easily take it out on you or each other. When I worked at Target I was lucky because I had great managers and co-workers who would come to your rescue if need be. Teamwork is something that I liked there. One day I had two parents come to my register with some kind of toy that both their kids wanted. One tells me he needs it for his kid's birthday and the other one says that they need it for their son and they had it first. They ask me which one had it first. I had NO clue so my co-worker saw that they were getting really upset and rushes over. She looks up the toy in our system and thank god found it in another store. She says to one of the parents that there is another one in a local store and they instantly calmed down. The customer is always right and in this case I was just glad a fist fight didn't happen, haha.

95% of the time !

I am interested in target job. Is there any job in my location

How friendly everyone was

Expected to be acknowledged for a job well done and feeling like I made a difference but I was just a number to them not a person.

It is like going back to high school. If they like you you will get hours and move up but if you are not favored then be content to be invisible.

It was because the management does not manage the department. We were out of stock that could have been avoided. No management presence.
