Where I work as a temp I felt like I am in prison. They watch you all the time. Sometimes I regular employees act weird toward us.

Why is it you register with these placement agencies; go thru all the testing, and hear nothing back?

Hello,

After relocating, three weeks later I've finally found a job. Temporary that might go perm with a brokerage firm. He worked pretty fast. Within one week of reaching out to me, I start this position next Monday. My question is, I want to send him a thank you gift. Should I? Maybe a thank you basket ? Bad idea?

I've been out of the work force for several years. I keep my license up anyway, as I'm not ready to quit. Are there any agencies out there that don't mind a huge gap in employment?

I recently had worked for a temp company for 7 months, but I figured I was going to be hired permanently by the company the temp agency assigned me to. A background check was done under another last name I had used. There is felonies under that name which I had disclosed prior to my being hired by the temp agency. The background check was to only go back 10 years and my addresses in the last 10 years did not match because I had been incarcerated from 2006-2011. For that reason I was terminated by both companies.

In the past, I've used temp agencies & considered doing it again. It's work while you look, bringing in a paycheck & gaining more skills or experience that an employer might be looking for specifically. You also have the opportunity to be hired on with those companies, already having a for in the door is less training they would have to provide an outside source

Hey guys and gals, if you are down and can't seem to find a job, check out TCB inc. Corp. Google it or walk in, Addy is 2005 se 82nd ave.portland, oregon. Yes it's a temp agency, it's family owned and yes they have slow times. Usually during the end of the year. They will provide all trainings and certs, tcb trains and sends you out on hazmat jobs, confined space jobs, rope rescue jobs, or clean up jobs. That's where I started and got me my curgent job now, no I'm not getting paid for this but if you give them your time, they will take care of you. And when you do find employment elsewhere, you will still be on their on call list just in case you need extra cash. Certs are 40 hr hazwoper, confined space, first aid/cpr and as needed trainings which you can use in the future. The certs and classes are docked out of ur paycheck, not a set amount but depending how much you are making or if you are working. Listen, some will make it, some will not, but the only reason why I'm posting this is a lot of people here needs jobs, and whether you are into the hazardous waste removals or not, it's helping the environment and puts money in your pocket, sometimes you travel out of state, sometimes your gone weeks at a time. All you oregonions and people living in oregon, this is worth the try. Just don't have any recent major charges...like a felony! Have a driver's license and have a drive to make that money. Good luck! Oh yes you can use my name as reference, just make sure you do a bad ass job when you do get hired on

I have had a lot of warehouse experience that includes picking, scanning, palletizing (basic and hydraulic), computer experience and packing of clothing at Saks 5th Avenue. I have about 2 years of on warehouse experiencing through temporary agencies and also at Proctor & Gamble through Manpower Staffing and Beacon Staffing out of Aberdeen, Maryland. I am a very good worker and get along with both co-workers and supervisors. Both my husband and I both worked at Proctor & Gamble, Sephora, and McCormick Warehouse. All of these jobs were through temporary agencies so the jobs only lasted while they had work and nothing was ever long lasting.

why is it sooo hard to find a job anymore? I'm 26 and have held multiple temporary positions. most recently a staffing agency sent me away for having No Stability when I had been at my previous position for a year!!! another position will no long hire me for having my doctors appointments as absences. I FEEL LIKE GIVING UP! Throwing in my towel. nobody is hiring me and has a good reason for it.
