
I recently was hired on with company as Production Manager. I was so excited until I started and found out the mess they were in but I observed and by my lunch break on my first day I knew how to fix it. So I went to the owner told him what needed to be done and he said he was on board but his actions told otherwise. When I started all of the people in that department were either let go or quit and the customers were livid. I admit I had some trouble staffing my department but that's with any company. It's hard to find qualified people that are a good fit. The reason none of the people before me were there is because they had been telling lies to customers and weren't qualified. They had caused the issues that the company was facing with irate customers who had contracted for either an addition, remodel or sunroom and had paid all but a few hundred dollars on their contracts but only had holes dug up in their yards. So this is what they were doing when I started they would sell a job and get a deposit he (owner) would then get them on the schedule ahead of other open jobs and go out dig either pier holes or footings and then leave it for months. He has unfinished jobs from beginning of 2016 that to date aren't finished but are paid in full. The quality of workmanship is more than sub par.
When I started I told him he needed to stop selling new jobs, he needed to stop starting sold jobs and he needed to go by contract date and finish up all his open work. If that meant getting a line of credit or taking on investors it needed to be done before he got sued. He didn't listen and continued to sell work that he didn't have personnel that could do that work. Even the jobs that had financing he would submit and get all the funding off the loan and that customers job wasn't even started. Customers were paying payments on loans that services hadn't even been completed on. I worked there no more than 6 - 8 weeks. I worked Monday - Saturday 6 am until typically 7pm sometimes 9pm. I was not reimbursed for fuel, filing cabinet or any of my personal belongings when let go.
Then I had a friend tell me that someone in their family had called The company out for a bid on a sunroom and asked them about the recent news story on them and the salesman gave my name and blamed it all on me. First of all I wasn't there long enough to cause the troubles the company is in and second of all I am NOT the reason for the news story. I did my best but the owner and other managers just wouldn't listen and do what was necessary to fix it. I want to know what I can do about this slander. Any guidance or attorney that is interested in taking this case on please contact me.

I was fired after 5 years because I filed a complaint on my supervisor that was disrespectful I follow protocol however he was terminated two days before I was I asked for the reason they just told me that we could not have this kind of behavior on top of that I was denied unemployment and currently filing an appeal

Hi guys, recently the place I work at closed, they sold the business, no previous notice they would do so, then boom I don't have a job. What should I do?? Can I collet unemployment, I'm broke, I start applying to different jobs, but I'm getting rejected. Is there any specific conditions to claim unemployment?! I just need support till I find a job... it's very frustrating

I had just got the position through recruiting company to work for CVS and their benefit verification Department they were starting a new way of training because obviously the other ways weren't working they are very old computers in mine kept crashing Well everybody's was for that full week so I was put in the back on the last set of computers same problem people are having lots of problems and training did not care she had a scenario to take care of and she was going to do it she could not wait behind for problems to correct it so much for training I had a doctor's appointment the next week which I had to make already I was so far behind and then they did another strange thing they collected our month date of birth and year that we were born into a basket and claimed it was just for processing p purposes needless to say my computer problems got worse and the IT guy that was there was not helping me any he was practically ignoring me now my co-workers around me weren't much of a help either so I went to upper management I think the IT guy it's something to do with me losing my job I don't know but it seems suspicious they would collect your date of birth and your year that you were born in the basket I mean that it was for another system. And it's strange that only my computer started crashing over and over again so apparently I could not catch up I fell too far behind there was no other recourse but to tell them I could not catch up unless they could help me and then they let me go

I was terminated after a New Manager was hired on the BMT Floor. She had an obvious jealous gripe with me concerning my religious views and my age. Once I threatened to take them to court, they agreed to 'change the paperwork' from a Termination to a 'Notice of Resignation' from me because I could NOT drive 60-70 minutes and work in such a 'Toxic' working environment. #UnfairManagement

I was let go from my part time job because the son inquired about how he can hire me full time .Asking to know how he can get the contract closed if possible .So intern homehelpers fired me because he was asking a question.All I wanted to do is make this 98 lady happy and to let her finish her happiness in her home .

HEY GOOD AFTERNOON, MY NAME IS ROBERT WALKER..I WAS EMPLOYED WITH STRATEGIC MATERIALS LOCATED IN CHICAGO IL...I WAS FIRED BY A STAND IN TEMPORARY SUPERVISOR..HE WASN'T EMPLOYED WITH THE COMPANY HE WAS FROM A TEMPORARY SERVICE..HE WOULD HAVE ME TO WORK ON THIS LINE THAT WAS KNOWN FOR EMPLOYEES TO FALL ASLEEP..I WOULD ASK HIM TO SWITCH ME TO A DIFFERENT WORK AREA SOMETIMES ALMOST BEGGING TO SWITCH ME..I WAS HIRED INTO THE COMPANY IN 2015...SO I WAS FIRED AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS OF WORKING THE THIRD SHIFT...BUT THE MORROW OF THIS STORY IS THAT THIS APPOINTED SHIFT SUPERVISOR WAS ALWAYS SLEEPING AN I HAVE THE PICTURES TO SHOW HIM SLEEPING ALL OVER THE COMPANY...SO IF CAN HELP ME PLEASE...THANK YOU...

I worked almost 3 months before they fired me, the managers said I was not working fast enough to their standards. They said I was all nice and polite to the customers but was taking to long helping them, when most of my coworkers just stayed in the back very time a customer came up to the counter.

I got fired Bc my two kids had type b flu and the manager said I didn’t keep her posted for 2days when she knew my kids was sick.

I was Terminated October 2, 2017 after 17 years at this company. Now at 62 yrs of age it's really tough looking for a new job. I was replaced by two younger persons. Employers are looking for young blood at minimal wages. What I was making for a decent income but now this company has new new employees for less than I was getting. I'm truly scared what my future hold for me, will I get another jobs that pays the same??? I'm a mechanical cad designer/engineer.
