So tired of it all. Accountant. Don't like my name on false reports.
Have worked for a company where the 3 sons ran the company and wrote up to $10,000 in Petty Cash checks each month, cashed them and pocketed the money. Paid themselves almost nothing so they could get out of paying taxes. They also put personal remodeling of homes and weddings through business. Tried to report them to IRS. IRS does not care.
Then there was the company that screwed every single tenant. Didn't matter.. Just take the money. Screw the tenant. Unreal. No ethics
then there was the greed head that first beat up the contractors to the least he could pay them. Then when the final 10 or 15% was to be paid would find reasons why the contractor screwed up and he wouldn't pay. This 10-15% was of course the contractors profit.. so what. Same boss screwed the investors. changed the books in reports to the investors to imply he spent more than he did on projects.
Last position - just left. Company had been ripped off years ago by a CFO that was paying himself 3 paychecks. The new CFO could not get into the Payroll until 1 month after he left.. Fast forward. Leasing commissions. In house leasing agent. President with a high salary, a car allowance, etc. and the President is scooping the commision off the table (which should not be paid to begin with on a in house deal) and pocketing an extra 100k each year all while telling everyone no one can get a decent salary. Small company. Owner apparently likes to be ripped off. Another member of staff is suspected of stealing as they have access to all purchasing but refuses to give S/N's on large purchase items which no one really knows where these items are going. Unreal.
Is there any company out there that is honest?

The last couple years (2014-2016), it became common for third party recruiters to ask job candidates four or five last digits of their Social Security Numbers (SSN) or the whole SSN and Month and Day of their Birth (sometimes and Year of Birth) under pretext of avoiding double submissions.
I always believed that it could be necessary only on the final steps of hiring process, however very often I yielded their nice voices promising such great opportunity surely coming.
Yesterday I've found a new collection account in my credit report based on some Car Title Payday Loan with unknown me business and which I never borrowed.
So, I am strongly advising all job seekers never ever giving away to recruiters any part of their SSN and Date of Birth (DOB) unless it's coming to real hiring which materialized for me just once (in December 2015 for six months contract).
