"Job Search Tip" How many jobs should you apply to? The answer is as many as it takes. This is common sense guys. Keep searching, keep applying, don't give up.

Just a note of encouragement. Most people whether disabled or not need to apply to multiple jobs before even getting an interview. The saying goes, "It takes a full time job to land a full time job."

Abled Workers Unite we are here to support you? Check out the group's job board. #togetherwecan

Interviews are always nerve-wracking, what’s the most important thing you focus on so you are confident?

  • Stand up and shake hands (if you are able to)
  • Look the interviewer in the eyes (if you are able to)
  • Listen and be attentive (if you are able to)
  • Be prepared and presentable

Everyone approaches job interviews in different ways, what’s your secret? Let's hear it in the comments!

Years back I said to someone "have a great day". He responded to me "I will make it a great day". Good and bad things happen every day to everyone. It is our perception, response, and attitude towards those things that will allow us to make it a great day. #togetherwecan

"Did you know" there are three reasons why businesses hired people with disabilities. 1) because they have to for compliance purposes. 2) because the received a payroll tax break. 3) because they want to.

The overwhelming reason has been because they have to. However, that is changing. More and more businesses are hiring from our Community now because they want to. It is a slow process for sure but advocates are working tirelessly to change the perception of people with disabilities in the workforce.

Jobcase, through our group Abled Workers Unite, will advocate for our Community to change the perception of who we are and what we can offer to businesses. Together We Can make a difference and make the Workplace Accessible and Inclusive. Are you in? Come join us! Tell you friends about us. And don't forget to search the group's job board. You may find what you are looking for. #disability #jobsearch #togetherwecan

An upsetting story came out this week: A Denver city council member, who uses a wheelchair, had to literally crawl onto the stage for a debate, because the venue didn’t have a ramp.

He said, “The whole point of the Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA], which was passed a lot more than three decades ago, was that we wouldn’t have public humiliation like this.”

Have you or someone you know had to deal with crap like this before? If so, please join our Abled Workers Unite group for workers with disabilities. #TogetherWeCan find the next job and change how disability is in the workplace. 🙌🏽🔥💙

Together We Can! In any country to make societal change there has to be a movement of people initiating that change. That is exactly why Abled Workers Unite was formed. JobCase has a tremendous reach with @140 million users and @20 million od them on the platform monthly. Statistics tell us that 1 in 5 people have a disability. That means that statistically @4 million people with disabilities monthly utilize the JobCase platform.

The goal is to build a group of disabled workers large enough that cannot be ignored so we can make the changes we need for Accessibility and Inclusion.

I believe we are on our way. Since we started in November 2022 the group has grown to 8.4K. A good start but the goal is hundreds of thousands. A group that large talking in a collective voice can make effective change.

Are you in? Please spread the word about Abled Workers Unite. Help the group become a voice of change. #disability #jobs #togetherwecan
