I made working for #ToysRUs a good experience by

I started throwing stock through the night at Toys R Us for extra $ and to be able to supply my Grandkids a Christmas gift or two. I loved it , I loved the physical work although I'd pretty much always work nights I knew all my loved ones were home in bed fast asleep I was also a helping caregiver for my Mother with Alzheimer's But working my first Retail job was FANTASTIC.. I loved having my areas to stock and take care of and help any of the team through out the store too And I love toys too from my childhood and my children's childhoods and I love Babies and that was my area as well ... then after throwing stock for the Christmas seasonal time, I was asked to come aboard on Days, and I went for it ! ... It was an adjustment to now be at work at 6am instead of getting off at 6am but I got through it and made ADJUSTMENTS at home where I also helped not only with my Mother but my Father as well who was a COPD patient but we got through it ... I loved my years at Toys R Us I also had Geffory's Summer Camp program I did once a week with kids from all over. I had guest that shopped our store from a good distance away cause they like our store best and they would come just for my Geffory's Summer Camp Days... I had guest that would come to our store and ask for my help personally and sometimes come back if I wasnt there at the time just to get my assistance with their gift they were looking for etc. I'm a people person and a caregiver by heart So I love helping people and making them Happy ... Toys R Us was Great for me and I was Good for them as well We were a good fit .... I grew up babysitting for money. Then working fast food. Then got into Photo Finishing Lab for years and loved that work as well but TRU was my first Retail job and it was a Boost for me !

Toys R Us just won a two million-dollar lawsuit for severance pay I work there for 12 and 1/2 years I was four months away from 13 years and I only got $934 that was enough to help pay one rent payment and I'm still struggling to pay rent day today month to month yes I'm trying to find a full-time job but right now I work for a company a Merchandising company and it's still not enough I honestly think working for Toys R Us for 12 and a half years I should be getting more than $934 am I not right in my thinking

I’m 68, been unemployed since Toys/Babies r Us closed last summer. I also had ankle surgery last August. I’ve was denied twice for unemployment, because of the surgery, and wasn’t cleared to work until December. When I’ve applied for jobs, I was turned away. In the meantime I’m in therapy, for depression. I volunteer at the local humane society. I know I’m being picky at jobs I’m looking for. I need something that’s flexible in the hours. I know after having surgery, and just from aging, I do have limitations. Lack of strength mostly, and standing for long period of time. I also worry getting in the same situation of getting into somewhere, and to lose my job. I’m not comfortable or confident at job interviews. I just want to find a job that I could be happy to get up in the morning to go to. Having someone tell me it’s just a job. Shouldn’t I deserve to be happy with my job? What I’m looking for somewhere I can be around animals. And yes, I’ve tried the local humane society with no luck. Any suggestions.

Not proud upset years. Threw me out like a piece of trash I was loyal I went to work everyday like I was supposed to follow my schedule and everything else I did everything they told me to do and got tossed out like a piece of trash now I'm looking for jobs getting jobs that are just not for me I need to find a job that knows how to use my skill set and I have no problem learning new things this picture is what it looks like now I know I'm not supposed to talk bad about a place but I'm not the only one that feels this way

I’m back to update every one on my stuff. After toys r us shut down the job hunt was hard but I got a job at newks and got fired in a week because of bad tarrable training and the unprefestional work place. Thin shortly after I got a job with my mom working at family service agancy taking in donations and I turned 18. school started back two or three months later; the family service agancy closes at three so I wouldn’t be able to work there any more. I got a job at grease pro. I survived the hurricane. the hurricane messed up the hours and the management so I left for a roofing company called royal roof repairs. the pay was tarrable. I was promised $700 but I only got paid $200 for a whole four weeks and my car moter blew up and now I’m searching for a new job so I can pay incurance and get a new car. It’s bin hard and depressing. Well thank you all for seeing me rant. If any one has ideas for me; please let me know. Thank you.

I liked the way all the store associates helped each other.and we all addressed each other by first name.the bosses really cared about us.and recognized our hard work.
