So this is the ad that Jobcase ran yesterday in local papers in major cities. Delta Air Lines shared $1.6bln with employees (other firms would have just done another shareholder buyback - not Delta). They are walking the walk in valuing their workers so Jobcase will move to reward that. Our Jobcase Team suggested that all of us Jobcasers not just consider working at delta but that we all fly delta. And Jobcase ran ads highlighting Delta In some major cities across USA. If we harness our collective consumer dollars we can impact company's income statements. If we impact their profits then companies that treat workers better will outcompete those that don’t. When that becomes obvious then all companies will start treating workers better. We will harness capitalism to balance capitalism.
We know that Jobcasers:

  1. care about others
  2. know we all have to drive our own work life success &
  3. believe workers should b valued as much as shareholders So. Join us. Fly Delta this month.

Congrats & thnx Delta And to other companies.. we’re just getting warmed up!!! Stay tuned... Onwards & upwards. #StrongerTogether

I been working as a bag handler at Delta and people always ask me how I got this job. I didn't need any experience or nothing I just applied. Because you are working at the airport your background check is strict and you have to be able to lift heavy bags. Last week I lifted up one that I swear to GOD felt like it had 15 bowling balls in it. Travel light people!! Nah but the job is good, pays good and the company has been fine so far. No complaints.

Although it’s the shortest month of the year, February seems to draaaagggggg on. Anyone else agree?! So, why not take a break from your same old routine and change up the scenery a bit?

Maybe some family members are overdue for a visit, or there’s a corner of the world you’ve never seen. Regardless of your ambitions, #Delta makes it easy to travel anywhere you could dream of - even on a budget!

Here are three tips to finding affordable flights:

Use the right sites The first trick to finding affordable flights is to use the right websites. Google Flights, Skyscanner and Momondo are great resources to help you scan thousands of flights to ensure you’re getting the lowest price possible! You can decide which Delta fare is best for you, and you’ll be redirected to their site to book your flight.

Book at the right time It’s a misconception that booking flights as early as possible will save you the most money. [Delta agents suggest] that you should aim to purchase tickets 6 - 12 weeks before your anticipated departure date. This avoids last-minute pricing spikes but is close enough that tickets start to reflect discount costs.

Know the cheapest days to fly Friday’s are the most popular day to fly and therefore, are the most expensive day for tickets. Try booking a flight that leaves on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for the best rates. Also, if you’re willing to leave super early or take on a redeye flight, you’ll save a few bucks!

Any other tips for affordable flying?! Comment below! :)

Bon Voyage!

Good pay and benefits, enjoyed working with a variety of various ethnic people which depended on what station I was assigned to. Also, the work hours were not a typical 9 to 5. One could pick am, pm, or night hours (ie: 6-2, 2-10, 10-6). If one picked the right hours and train line, one could work the holidays and still get home to enjoy that holiday. For example, I worked the am shift (6-2) on Thanksgiving Day, and I was still able to enjoy the day with family and friends. In conclusion, Working for the New York City Transit Authority was the best experience of my life.
