Driver at Mv Transportation

Do they have the technology to have both auto, & manual where you can switch over where it would be driver friendly to adapt to what ever situation arises, if this type of technology doesn't exist already? Just a thought, especially with today's technology, God bless people

Driver at Mv Transportation

I've heard drivers say that they feel out of their element after going from a manual to an automatic, & vice versa, each does have it's pros, & cons, to each their own as they say

Your driving your tractor trailer down a two-lane road at 50 mph on a 45 mph road. As you top the hill a car with its turn signal on is turning left. They try to make the turn but you both collide resulting in an accident. Who is at fault? Please share your thoughts?Opinions? #truckers #truckdrivers

Lead Team Driver at Cedar Creek

If you are found to be speeding, even if it’s the 5 mph over that most people do, then you are at fault automatically for violating the law. Separately, could that 5 mph decrease in speed have allowed you to slow or stop or veer to avoid impact? How close to you was the other party when they turned in front of you? These are all matters for discussion.

Driver Operator at Gees Trucking Llc

At fault. Or not. If a trucker gets in an accident. It goes on his or her driving record. I try to stay in the middle lines as much as the law slows. And I start my trip an hour, too and hour and a half early so I can take my time. We have to plan for the unseen.

I see the press release from the chief of the CDC tell people to still---NOT travel . Domestic or internationally. Great !! I am a C.D.L.-A TRUCK DRIVER and am forced to TRAVEL---O.T.R. ( Over The Road) my employer tells me I have no choices as that is for other and FORCED to work / drive 70 hours a week / driving 11 hours a day and work other than driving 4 hours a day. My pay scale is 'MILEAGE' if an employer decides to NOT pay you no state can help you as this is a separate agreement as gov't only protects those getting an HOURLY RATE, you are never paid for the whole or all the 70 hours--it is way less than minimum wage. SLAVERY DOES EXIST , how would you have to sleep / eat / work at your work not seeing others and stuck pay BIG bucks to buy food at work and only from the 'COMPANY STORE'. The model for TRUCKING is the old company store first seen in COAL MINING COMPANIES --they own the mine--that owns the town which owns the store you are force you buy food / equipment / tools / clothes , etc. that the mining company makes up. Everyone forced to buy on credit due to the expense of it all. This has to change. #TRUCKDRIVERS #cdl #stressful

I wanted to say thank you to all of the drivers and dispatchers that have been putting in long hours over the last few weeks.

My dad has been a CDL driver for 25+ years and I am always so appreciative of him and everyone in the industry.

Whether it's a travel ban due to inclement weather or a nationwide "quarantine" due to the Coronavirus, you all continue to do your jobs around the clock to assure that stores and hospitals can stay stocked - you're true heroes in a time of crisis!!

Please stay safe! Thank YOU for your commitment to your community.

If you have a second over the next few days, thank a truck driver. I called my dad this morning to thank him and his team for the long hours they have put in this week, and he was SO appreciative.

Truck drivers are one of America's largest and most vulnerable groups of workers right now. The job requires a lot of travel and contact with many people throughout their day at warehouses, gas stations, etc.

Whether it's a travel ban due to inclement weather or a nationwide "quarantine" due to the Coronavirus, drivers continue to do their jobs around the clock to assure that stores and hospitals can stay stocked.

To all the drivers out there, stay safe! Thank YOU for your commitment to your community.
